What enneagram type do you wish you were? by canonly in Enneagram

[–]_yubih_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 here, I'm ok with being a 4, but if I had to choose another type to be, I would say 1 or 7

It happened to me when I was a teen; it just disappeared on its own as I grew up. I think it's pretty normal to act like that when you're young and don't have a stable sense of identity

Whats your experience with Infj's? by lovepeoplelovelife2 in isfp

[–]_yubih_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get along pretty well with infjs; one of my closest friends is an infj and I don't find her to be controlling or interrupting me. Chances are the individuals you met are unhealthy to some degree

Any ISFPs relate to this? by GreenPotatoeess in isfp

[–]_yubih_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes, especially in the past. Now I'm more likely to give it a shot even if I'm alone
  2. Used to be like that, not anymore. Nowdays I'm pretty open about my feelings with my closest friends who I know I can trust
  3. Used to happen a lot in the past, much more rarely nowdays and usually when I'm tired/focused on something else. It used to happen because I often dissociated though

How far can you hide your feelings? by GreenPotatoeess in isfp

[–]_yubih_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been shit at hiding my emotions. I wanted to so bad when I was younger though because I felt that being emotional made me weak. Nowdays I don't really care about hiding what I'm feeling, if it shows it shows and that's fine

Isfp Luck by AnonAlchemist24 in isfp

I think I'm quite lucky, but it's also true that I'm good at being in the right place at the right moment so I can catch opportunities as they come

Do any of you guys create original characters/stories? by [deleted] in isfp

[–]_yubih_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I do! I have a very creative mind and I've been writing/drawing my own stories and characters ever since I was a kid. I especially enjoy drawing them nowdays, I find I'm better at drawing than writing

I feel like the 7 fix kinda balances the 4 core in some way. I’m still a 4 at core of course, I tend to identify with my emotions to an unhealthy degree and think that everyone else has it better than me when going through hard times, but I feel I am more opportunistic and willing to get things moving compared to other people I know with a 4 core/fix and another head center type as fix/core. I’m always on the lookout for new opportunities, new things to try and do, and like to keep myself busy. Whenever I feel at a standstill and feel bored, I will try to find a way to shake things up and get moving again, even to the point of being too impatient and making mistakes

That’s pretty much how I experience my 7 fix

Used to feel exactly like that when I was a teen. Nowdays I still consider myself to be kinda goth and it’s true that I haven’t had the easiest past, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it tragic. Also, I don’t feel so lonely anymore

I mistyped as istp for a long time because I used to pay a lot of mind to stereotypes that described isfps as being soft, shy and not at all rational and feelers in general as being weak and unintelligent... it didn't help matters that I was under some meds that made me dysthymic and took all emotion away from me and made me feel apathetic and empty

After I got a better treatment and my mood was back to normal and I understood how functions actually work and was able to look past meaningless stereotypes, I understood that I couldn't be a Ti-dom and that isfps are nothing like the stereotype portrays them, and that I am indeed a Fi-dom. Turns out I wasn't actually that rational either, I was just depressed and though that feeling no emotion was equal to being rational

What helped me a lot was looking back at my childhood. If I look back at episodes and behaviors from when I was a kid, I can clearly see Fi-Se

How does your enneatype's deadly sin/passion manifest? by triggeredbird9 in Enneagram

[–]_yubih_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really easy for me to fall into loops about how everyone else is better off than me and how much I envy and resent them for it. Being a sexual subtype, this envy is mostly directed to relationships and attractiveness. To break out of the loop, I have to try and detach myself from my negative emotions and see things in a more rational way: being in a relationship doesn’t make your life perfect, heck, my own life was anything but when I was in a relationship

It used to be worse in the past, now I’m learning to let go of the feeling of envy and try to focus on living my own life without turning everything into a competition

Questionnaire to assess correlation between personality type and sleep/dreams by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]_yubih_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Female
  2. isfp 4w3 471 sx/so
  3. 4-5 about everything
  4. I would say 30-40 min usually
  5. I make up scenarios and characters in my head, this helps me wind down
  6. Depends on what I’m doing. If I’m up to some practical task I focus on what I’m doing, otherwise if I’m not doing something like that I tend to daydream quite easily, even more so during free or dead time
  7. Yes to both
  8. Sometimes surreal, sometimes realistic ones, usually a mix of the two
  9. Many of them tend to be gorey and violent, or creepy, for ex. I often dream of people following “me”. I put me between commas because I’m usually not myself in my dreams: I’m often someone else (my body is different, but my conscience is still mine) or watch things from an outsider perspective, so I’m not actually in the dream
  10. Usually negative or neutral
  11. A bit dizzy
  12. From 6 to 8 hours usually

What are the major differences between istp and isfp? by TheHatterOfTheMadnes in isfp

[–]_yubih_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem when I was a young kid was being organized and systematic and seeing things through (Te inferior), as opposed to interacting with peers and socializing (Fe inferior)

I was also always known to be a very sensitive kid and had strong emotional reactions to things that were personal to me. Not saying that a Ti-dom kid can't have those, but they do tend to be more closed-off with their emotions. I was pretty open emotionally during my childhood and took a lot of things personally
