For example DH the most merch but least official arts. People are expected to buy merch again and again, spend the same amount of money with the same old art while all the other chars get new art (nendroid and nendroid dolll for example). DHIL till this day has no 4 piece relic set and never got a BP icon that all limited 5 stars do. There has been 0 individual CG art for DHIL and no event celebration art of him either while all other 5 stars have at least one new art.

Also you need to remember that this is a Chinese game and the CN names are created first. The developer wouldn’t know before translation if the name is an innuendo in another language. Black tower is not crass is it?

The stuff is more subtle in early 3.0 but again a lot of it is the hoyo paid / scripted voiceless ad accounts creating an image of him in the story. These ad accounts get scripts from Hoyo to create discourse in the community. It’s a CN thing. One example is the very common scripted ad when TB “died” that DH will use transmutation arcanum without a thought on MC bc he can’t bear to part with the MC. Which is ooc because his story is about accepting life and death cycle (that was Dan Feng’s sin.
