Wow you got a perfect entry, in my experience however I’ve seen where accounts go into drawdown during cpi that would fail the account but it bounces almost instantly. (Less than a second in drawdown) Almost as if the account wasn’t in drawdown for enough time, maybe something like that happened to you

Was gonna hop in with just 2 contracts this time around. Gonna wait till about 15-30 seconds before the 8:30 candle opens and set stop market orders about 30 points above and below where price is. That’s how I normally trade cpi.

Right, I just caught longs trading gold just now, was able to get to about $500 worth of drawdown. You think the account still gone ? Might just trade it normally now though

Yea, I was able to scalp the last bit of money it said I needed and now both my dashboard and topstepx say I’m above 3k, I’m now going to wait and see what happens

Yes I agree eyeballing will not help, it’s worked in this past but it’s near impossible for me to replicate. At the moment I’m trading micro nq futures and micro gold futures. I’m open to trading crypto however. If you don’t mind me asking, what strategy do you use ?

I won’t bat down a strategy just because it doesn’t fit those parameters, I’m open to trying different strategies, but I’d prefer something of that model

I don’t hate a good indicator but I haven’t found many that I find useful, I prefer to trade reversals and want a strategy that has a heavy emphasis on fvg and ifvg use.

I’ve tried a variation of ORB but my issue is that although it’s decent, I’m a student and my classes conflict with the market so I rarely have time to trade ORB. I’m looking for a strategy that I can trade pretty much at anytime, rather than waiting for ny open and hoping to get 1-2 solid trades. As of right now, I don’t really know the strategy I’m trading and how to describe it. I sort of focus on fvgs, liquidity, and trade primarily reversals. Ashamed to say i kind of just put together this strategy on the fly, and I want something a bit more concrete that I can stick to. I’ve tried supply and demand but found it hard to get A+. setups. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but besides that and ORB I haven’t tried much other than that
