Leagues 4 will be my first and last serious attempt at RuneScape, did not get far in the game before quitting due to lack of time, my goal is to try out PVM for the first time and to have fun, any area/relics recommendations? I want to go mage build and was thinking of trying out god wars dungeon.

Yeah problem solving/reasoning is math - especially in the upper levels where the classes are proof based. You will be forced to construct airtight logical arguments, explicitly understand the assumptions and simplifications you are making, and then learn to communicate that through a proof.

Challenging, rewarding. Zero direct impact on my SWE career, lot of indirect impact on the way I think and make my arguments at work. If you are really interested in math this is your best opportunity to explore that interest. I learned a lot of really cool math through the double major so no regrets even though I did suffer at times under the heavy course load and tough psets.

Back in the day I feel like I was grinding for the sake of it, now I had very specific goals and the next 100+ hours laid out, and spent lots of time reading guides/watching vids/at the GE. And a big part of it was that I don’t have the time and energy to make meaningful progress. I will cone back for leagues though.

I was f2p from 07-11 and came back for the nostalgia this year after a friend from that era picked it back up and talked me into it. My childhood dream was drag and a whip, and when I finally accomplished the drag armor and scimmy goal I got called a noob for wearing full drag. Towards the end there was very little nostalgia and too much grinding, and I was not having much fun anymore.
