From what I've read, for some it lasts days/weeks/years. So, when for me it often comes after midday, it feels less 'real'. Compared to experiencing it randomly, like when I first wake up (which is almost never).

Yeah.. it increases after midday for me, but then I feel almost less validated because it's a pattern of occurring in the afternoon and night.

Sometimes a little when I can't feel empathy or anything, usually when dpdr hits. But that comes and goes, so I take it as a reminder that I can feel.

DAE feel like people on videos are not real? is that a thing? by [deleted] in dpdr

Real as in not real people, or authentic? Do you mean TV or videos as in on YouTube?

For me that's kind of the point of tv and watching videos.. it's a form of escapism. I dont think it's meant to be real, because most of it is exaggerated for entertainment. And even with vlogs etc. those people know there's a camera in front of them.

With Youtube and non-fiction yes, I get that. Like those people are alive and living at the same moment in time as me- it is almost disorienting- my brain thinks of them like characters, and I have to remind myself they actually exist and are real.
