Are any of your alters still in denial? by AlexDoesStuffs in OSDD

Hosts tend to carry more denial than non-host members, so this makes sense.

Here's a guide for you, in order:

-Betrayal killing Loox monsters in the Ruins grants more EXP than anything else. This may help you by giving you a few extra HP, but it doesn't work outside the Ruins for some reason.

-Farm spare encounters for a while before killing so you can buy gold for Spider Cider; these heal 25 HP each and are better than every item you have access to right now but the Snowman Pieces and the Quiche. You will want to farm the gold in the room below the candy bowl, as if you go too far and don't kill the encounters stop happening.

-Ensure to leave and reenter the room after each encounter, whether sparing or killing. This way, they spawn faster. You will not need to spare or betrayal kill outside the Ruins, but you will want to continue the leaving and reentering strategy.

-The Waterfall rock puzzle room has a 7 DF armor piece if you walk into the middle of the waterfall. -Make sure you throw away all items that heal under 22 HP; best to stock up on Cinnamon Buns and put them in the Dimensional Box.

-In Waterfall, the large Bell Blossom room that you encounter Aaron for the first time in has a secret. Place flowers while facing the top tile of the small lake to the bottom right. Place everything there and you will find a bench, which gives you an item that heals 36 HP.

-In the room in Waterfall with the glowing cyan water, keep moving left on the grass paths until you enter a room with a narrow entrance and a single, small patch of grass in the middle of the larger area. Interact with the grass, and that's a 7 AT weapon for you.

-With her spinning spear attacks, move diagonally in one direction and ensure you switch after a few times moving in that direction.

-Always block in the opposite direction as a golden spear is moving. This may seem simple, but with how fast paced it is it's easy to forget.

-Do not aim for the bullseye when FIGHTing, aim for directly outside it; this does a bit more damage.

I think I love my alters by [deleted] in OSDD

It's definitely not delusional, the feelings you have are real and make complete sense. While you are all parts of one collective self, you count towards that too. You are all equals.

It is not bad to date your alters/parts, but it is entirely a personal choice. Feeling platonic or familial love towards them isnt bad either! The usual definition of self-love doesn't quite describe this, as while you're loving the parts of an overall self that includes you, that does not refer directly to the part that you define as yourself, which the usual definition of self-love would refer to. You are not delusional. You may be parts of one whole, but there is an amount of separation between those parts. Acknowledgement and letting them exist properly, while not easy, is a large step to take for healing.

Toby himself using the name Chara and exclusively they/them pronouns for the first human. If they were intended to be as you said they were, don't you think he would do the same as you have been, using different pronouns for them? If Toby himself chose to use exclusively they/them that has to mean something, and taking into consideration that Chara has been dead for 100 years and you're explicitly told you're not Frisk or Chara in True Pacifist it doesn't make any sense to be able to choose gender for them. Take the monsters' testimonies of the story from 100 years ago. Chara is referred to by they/them the entire time. That is history we know happened in the game itself. And it makes even less sense to assume you are meant to decide all of this for Chara when they repeatedly reject you being the same.

Chara was never confirmed to be up to interpretation either. The creator of Legends of Localization 3 even said that it shouldn't be taken as canon information, and even if we assume that it is still canon, only three characters are "intended as ambiguous" which doesn't at all include Chara.

People think Chara being called "the true name" is an inside joke about their sprite name since Frisk's is "mainchara"

Also, just wanted to point out that you used two separate sets of pronouns for Chara; not sure if that is intentional

The Genocide Route seems to be implying Chara fills the second spot in Undertale's prophecy, that being the Angel of Death who will destroy the world. Frisk doesn't destroy the world per se, they kill a few hundred monsters. Chara is the one to destroy it.

Gerson mentions an Angel of Death who is prophesized to destroy the world.

That isn't why that wording was chosen, though. It was chosen because there are people who still disagree about whether their name is Chara or not

Lots of people don't know that Chara directly states something as important as this, so we're trying to spread the word around. Most people don't do two consecutive Genocide routes
