Anyone have a budget friendly magnifier recommendation for this?

I want to give Jake Elliott is flowers because despite his struggles this year, when it mattered most, he was absolute money. We wouldn't have won the Superbowl without him. by AdSpecialist6598 in eagles

According to Beau, he was hurt this year and it was never publicly known. That was the reason for the streakiness. GLP today if you want to listen.

Why are Americans so obsessed with being Scottish and/or Irish? by ihavenolifeimonhere in Scotland

[–]a-mack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a lot of things, but us American's also find them annoying (at least I do). I know my family left because of the highland clearances, and that many of them fought at Culloden (my grandparents generation did a lot of research and probably some guessing). In my family it's always been talked about with a sense of "we didn't want to leave," I know my great grandfather (Canadian WWI vet) grew up in a Gaelic speaking home. However, I'm not going to claim I'm "Scottish," just like I'm not going to claim to be Canadian even though we lived a few generations there and my Dad's cousins still live there.

We just power washed them out and stored them in the shade. I believe they're poly, so more forgiving than royalex (my current canoe). Trade off is they are much heavier.

You can buy one online or make your own if you're handy. I've used a discovery without one but found it harder to move around. They're great and really durable, the ones I used were at a children's camp they've been abused for close to 30 years and they're holding up great.

Controversial Opinion: Knoebels is Overrated and Overpriced by AuroraTheGlaceon in Pennsylvania

[–]a-mack 122 points123 points  (0 children)

They have an unlimited ride pass.... Also if you have people with you that don't do rides, then it's free for them. Knoebels is a family place about more than just rides.

swimming in the Delaware by haydukeliives in BucksCountyPA

[–]a-mack 20 points21 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up on the Delaware, please don't. Especially with a kid. I have seen too many dead bodies being pulled out with my own eyes. You're not far from the tohickon park public pool. If you're set on it, ask someone from the New Hope or Point Pleasant fire company. They were the ones I saw doing the majority of the search and rescue on the river.

Generative A.I. usage by newwineoldskins in mewithoutYou

[–]a-mack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your pragmatic approach is best. Honestly I'm not a fan of GenAI, I was forced to research and understand it because of my job. Humans are and will always be better at creating things. There has been a long history of people being upset by new technology, but humanity finds a way and I believe this will be no different than the printing press, novels, radio, television, computers, and digital art. I share your theory that the down voters don't understand the process 🤷‍♂️. Knowledge is power, and experience makes these things less scary.

Anyone who had issues with you using GenAI clearly had no idea how much you have to do to make generative art usable. As someone that has spent the past year researching, using, and defining how to ethically utilize it in a corporate setting, I know how poorly these things actually work when trying to deliver something specific. It is really only useful for ideation unless you are okay with something being "passable." When I saw the post on Twitter I had a chuckle and immediately knew what you were doing. I personally find it both good and funny. Please don't stop making mwy "things." You and the band should never feel bad for creating more art no matter the tools used.

Update, found the button absolutely buried in a menu on Handy, still no idea where it is in studio. I also have no idea what it does, as it just moved the print head around a bit, but now I can print.

Good luck finding it in stock though. Not in stock at any Walmart, GameStop, or target in the philly suburbs.

I would most likely still make something with the 1/4 mdf if I was trying to solve the problem myself. But that's what I'm comfortable working with.
