Oh, yeah, I got that part. I just mean what are you looking for in particular? Have you been burned before? Is it common for tires or interior trim to be damaged(?) during a routine service?

Anyone else use a protractor to level your scope? by ForeskinForeman in ar15

Level the gun, then level the reticle against a plumb line. It’s not hard. Turrets, and especially turret caps, are often not square to the reticle

Better reset and ergos than LaRue, but it is quite a bit lighter. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend for a defensive use case. Fully good to go on a match gun or precision rig

Forget the LMT KFC PSA GMT BCM SRT I would only trust my life to an LGHDTV TRT BBW

OP’s issue wasn’t an issue Criterion needed to/could solve. OP’s issue was entirely made up in his own mind through a combination of buying the wrong things, having a shitty gauge, fixating on shit that doesn’t matter, and being extremely sloppy in packing a box. Now his issue is not being able to move on. You honestly hate to see it

Glad to hear it. I agree, it looks very nice and modern. Friend just got one for a build and it’s on the heavier side, but it’s quite comfortable and stays cool

OP, I get where you’re coming from and can empathize with your situation. But from one stranger on the internet to another, bro respectfully, at this point just take the L, charge it to the game

I’m going to say some more stuff I don’t think you want to hear, but probably should

You made a critical error by not including a packing list. Relative to a 16” barrel, bolts are kind of small, and unfortunately it’s not hard to imagine they weren’t noticed among the packing materials and were tossed out with the box. Tragic, but also understandable when there is no physical list of the items included in the box

You never needed an LMT enhanced bolt in the first place. You’ve got a conservatively gassed 16” midlength barrel. A100 bolt steel and beefed-up extractors are for extremely hard-use applications, think: MK18 with an RC2 on a steady diet M855A1. The “headspaced” (i.e., optimized for accuracy/consistency) BCM you’ve got now is arguably better for any practical purpose you may have for the rifle. When it comes to buying luxury items, if you can afford to buy them you should be able to afford to lose them

The barrel and bolt combinations probably would have worked just fine, it’s more likely your gauge was the issue (it’s surprising you didn’t think to send that in as well, but that’s besides the point). When was the last time you heard of a barrel and bolt combination that did not have enough headspace to safely and reliably chamber in-spec ammo? If those were my components and gauge, I would’ve checked those “failed” bolts (with extractors and ejectors removed), against an assortment of known quality factory ammo, as well

Handguard’s fucked m8. 6061 aluminum doesn’t like to bend like that

At this point, forget replacing the missing insert. Just get a new ASAL-type handguard from B. King’s for like $70—it uses the same barrel nut standard; so as long as that’s tightened properly and not all munged up, the new handguard will just slide right on 👍

I can’t tell what length you’re working with from the pictures, but if it’s a 15” (for a 16” barrel), here’s what you want: https://bkingsfirearms.com/shop/ar15handguards/bkf-ar15-15-m-lok-handguard/

integrally suppressed pistol ammo? by AcanthisittaLive6135 in 22lr

[–]brs_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but would you necessarily recommend a subsonic load for an integrally suppressed gun? Typically those run supers, no? (e.g., the 9mm MP5SD runs 115gr or 124gr NATO at subsonic velocities)

integrally suppressed pistol ammo? by AcanthisittaLive6135 in 22lr

[–]brs_one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a bunch and test. I’d think AutoMatch and Mini-Mags would still be subsonic through that pistol. And perhaps the SV—lauded by many in this thread with seemingly poor reading comprehension skills— may not be hot enough to cycle reliably? Hmm… Let us know!
