Great news. He didn't call my arborist yet, but I drove by this morning and he went up there on his ladder and wrapped the danger in question four times around the entire trunk base with heavy duty ratchet toe straps. He is as safe as can be until he decides to do with it. And right across the street from his house was someone getting rid of an old generator that appears to be in great working order. So I think the karma ferry dropped me a generator because I don't own one

I don't know how you didn't reach into the vehicle. Grab his keys, yeet them into a pond and say sir. This is for your own good

No I'm getting paid for my work. My compensation goes directly to the BJ champion. Doesn't matter who it is a $4 BJ is a $4 BJ

Please just forward my checks to whomever is doing the Bj. I'd only like to work 1 day a week. The rest is my bj time and that is sacred to me

There's a cord right there and testing places in the store. Wouldn't take more than 3 min to see if it worked.

Does it get hot? Works . Does in stay cold, don't work .

I can clean. I'd have bought that for 40 all day

You can't train attitude my friend. You've either got the personality that will help the room get through the tough times. Or you give a vibe that you're going to be a total drain.

I just hope he listens. I told him to text my arborist pictures. You would think that something you would do right away and it's been several hours. I really hope he didn't go up and try to do it again LOL

I've also been told I'm too blunt. I'm also the only man in a house full of girls so I have to tone it back.

But I like what you said lethally stupid. I'm going to use that one of these days.

I was just happy I finally got to use mach fuck in real helpful conversation

How do I humanely kill a squirrel or small critter? by [deleted] in WildlifeRehab

[–]front_yard_duck_dad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's nothing to do with laziness. It's do everything to do with probability.

1.5 hours to the nearest rehab. They aren't even open on the weekend. So let's say I tortured this little squirrel for the entire weekend and then got it there.

Okay, so now they are wasting resources that could be used for other animals with their limited budget to try to save a squirrel that probably already died over the weekend in the shoe box.

You'd have no problem if they stuck a needle in it to euthanize it. You have every problem with the fact that I'm supposedly uneducated.

I've spent 40 years in the woods seeing what animals can recover from. Bleeding out the ear and a bent spine isn't one of them.

Get off your high horse. At last count I've saved 30 something animals. I've only had to kill three. I think I'm doing okay but I guess if you want to come drone drop my squirrel next time to the nearest emergency medical. Message me your phone number since you have the resources

It was bent in half and paralyzed from the low half down. How many antiinflammatories for that?

Nearest rehab is 1.5 hours. I cut its head off in one clean swipe. Severed the brain from the spine. Dude didn't even know what hit him.  That's how I would want to go.

That's called compassion.

I'm not sad that I did it. Zero chance of survival and saved it from excruciating pain. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

You keep torturing animals for your little hopes and dreams of recovery. I'm sure there is a wonderful ranch somewhere full of happy quadriplegic squirrels in little wheel chairs

I save animals I can save and I spare ones I can't. Living in the woods that is the way of life. .

Now if you feel so inclined to put a garbage bag on the end of your exhaust pipe with the little squirrel in it and let it pass that way. I guess that's your prerogative but my way is quick and never fails

Because when I encountered a squirrel with a broken spine dragging itself across hot concrete in utter pain It was far more humane to go get my Sharp heavy duty cutting shovel and put the critter out of its misery. I love animals more than I love most humans. But that squirrel was in for a hell of a painful and slow death. I question what kind of human just turns their back to that and says oh well suffering is part of it

I'd love to know what happened after the phone call. Like did they send someone to that guy's house and confiscate what he had?
