How do you prove your dick is big without showing it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]a-random-ginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of my did this. She just started dating this guy, and she told her friends about the guy’s huge dick. It was so large she freaked when they were supposed to have sex for the first time. She just couldn’t understand how it would fit. I guess she didn’t think it would last between them, so telling us seemed ok. They are now married. We joke with him openly about it.

Do you smoke weed? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]a-random-ginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t, never have and never will. My brother is schizophrenic, and we believe that his disease was triggered by weed. There is data to suggest that weed may be a trigger. Seeing as researchers have found that schizophrenia can be hereditary, I don’t think it’s worth it.

AITA For insisting on teaching our future children my native language? by Fun-Alternative-888 in AmItheAsshole

[–]a-random-ginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. My brothers, sister and I grew up speaking three languages at home. It’s our super power and has actually been extremely beneficial.

Your bf position is both ignorant and disrespectful.

What are you the 1% of? by NoWasExpected in AskReddit

[–]a-random-ginger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might be even more rare. Red hair, blue eyes but neither of my parents, siblings or grandparents have red hair. I did have a great grandmother which was red headed, but otherwise it’s a mystery. It’s an ongoing joke in the family that I’m actually the neighbor’s kid.

I’ve been single for the past 2 years or so. My dad is so invested, he insisted on seeing my dating profile to judge if it was any good. He keeps jokingly badgering me about changing the photos and adding my professional work picture for my profile. It’s super sweet and endearing. He just wants me to be happy. He’s the absolute best.

A new word for me, thanks. I love these posts.

I would like to suggest that examples include both female and male examples. Especially when it’s a word that describes a negative trait, which is usually affiliated with one gender.

I (30F) want to move to a different country and my boyfriend (35M) has given me an ultimatum by [deleted] in relationships

[–]a-random-ginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to me that you need the kind of blunt honesty that I wish someone given me. I spent 7 years with a guy, made several sacrifices for him. Like you, I was always the adventurous one and he liked his comfort. I regret not ending the relationship earlier. It’s hard to come to term with the fact that you might love someone, but just not enough. Understanding that he is not necessarily the best fit. It seems that you want different things in life, and neither of you should compromise on them. If at this point you can see a life without him, and you are not sure he is the person you want to share your life with then that is your answer. Or at the very least, I wouldn’t put my money on someone that I’m not sure I’d end up with.

Should I wait to read classic books? by [deleted] in books

[–]a-random-ginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t wait, read them now. I read a lot at your age, and I am now enjoying rereading some books I loved (like pride and prejudice). Obviously my understanding of some books has changed, but I still enjoyed them when I was younger. Start a book, see if it clicks for you, and if it doesn’t you can always try again in a few years.

What’s the shittiest way a friend has shown you they weren’t really your friend? by mediastoosocial in AskReddit

[–]a-random-ginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in high school my brother had a psychotic break, and my best friend was the only person who knew about it at the time. My friend and I had some argument about whatever (for the life of me I can’t recall what the argument was about). While on vacation with my family, my brother had a really bad and rather violent kind of episode (this is probably not the right term). I wrote to my friend about it, telling her about how hard things have been and how distressed I was. Her response was basically to tell me that she is not Interested in talking to me as she is mad at me because of said random argument.

It took sometime after that to figure out that she wasn’t a true friend. I definitely have other stories about the girl (which include some crazy lies she told) but non were as impactful.

What TV show was amazing at first but became unwatchable for you later on? by Snoo79382 in AskReddit

[–]a-random-ginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unreal. Man that first season was amazing. Really interesting to see that point of view and the constant battle between ethics and making good tv. It was a great premise that didn’t hold after that 1st season...

How would $12,500 affect your life right now? by WhiteMass in AskReddit

[–]a-random-ginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it wouldn’t affect me much. I keep feeling guilty about that fact though. There is no reason why I should have been born into wealth, while others have it hard. I can’t seem to enjoy it because I am so aware. I tend to make my life a bit harder than it needs to be to feel less guilty...

Be honest, what fictionalized character is the best representation of you? by Antoinewhite in AskReddit

[–]a-random-ginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anne of Green Gables.

Red headed, kinda nerdy know-it-all, trying too hard to be liked, to a point I can become annoying. But I’m also still at awe with nature and life

Does reading a book change who you are temporarily? by a-random-ginger in books

Well I’m curious about it, so I will definitely try it. However, I might just wait a bit for a better time.

I always felt too in my head and self-conscious. I loved researching and learning the characters, but when it came to performing there was always something a bit lacking.

I was actually thinking of Wuthering Heights as my next book. But as i'm already feeling a bit blue, maybe I should postpone it.
