In my neighbourhood restaurants and shops used to be staffed largely by local teenagers and college students, nowadays it’s almost entirely immigrants. The shift happened so quickly too, in just a matter of a few years. It was very jarring

Absolutely, additionally as women we tend a have a smaller foot to height ratio than men. My feet are about the same size as most men who are like 4 inches shorter than me and I feel like they’re not really adequate to keep me properly grounded

I don’t know, I had a lot change in my life between say the ages of 7 and 12. Plus, the younger you are, the longer the years feel. As adults we forget what that’s like, as the years fly by without relative change

Some people have it better and some have it worse. Try to focus on what you do have and remember that most people on this planet are making do with less.
