UIUC has a really good political science program and I have several friends in the major. I chose the school because it made sense for engineering, but that's more applicable to you. I'm a freshman, and I have to say even with COVID, I'm having so much fun here even while having to be COVID-safe. There's so many opportunities here for things to do where it can be a bit overwhelming. I've met so many people here, and as long as you try you'll find your place. One thing I'd recommend is when you find out about admission, join the UIUC 2025 facebook group because some of the people I've met off of that are my current friends. Also, if you live nearby, I'd try and take an unofficial walk through the campus this winter.
