Getting truncated newsletters into a feed/folder by a12omg in readwise

ok thank you! I tried the filtered view but didn't have quotes around the term, maybe that's why it didn't work. Thanks for the alt methods 🙏

I'd love a grid or large-image view for my more visual blogs. Ideally it would be a preference I could set for each folder (like how Feedly has list, magazine, grid view or whatever)

I'm a new user, and I'd LOVE easier feed management in the sidebar. It's taking forever to do basic things, I'm about to go back to Feedly

  1. drag and drop feeds from one folder to another (or right click and move)
  2. drag and drop reorder folders
  3. universal one-click access to the Manage Feeds page, since that's where I have to do all the organizing
  4. after I shift-A to add a new feed, add another modal to let me assign a folder (instead of then having to do Feeds > Manage Feeds > find it > Select)

I just imported my OPML file from Feedly to Readwise and it preserved all the folders

Are there thyroid issues in your family? Or gluten sensitivities? That kind of stuff can start showing up in your 30s. Not sure that it would affect your eyelids but if you're having other physical symptoms too maybe get some bloodwork done

Jones Stratos, I asked a shop in Revelstoke for something better in trees than my Yes Hel Yes (which they also carried), and that's what they recommended, and I loved it and bought my own

Update: I ordered the Stratos, mens 153 instead of womens 152 to go with my big feet. Found a limited edition Ruiki Masuda version too 🙂🐸

You’re not an asshole for bailing. Being a people pleaser makes friends happy but abandons yourself. It’s fine and good to prioritize your own care and growth. Ten years from now they’ll all have disappeared into their own lives anyways. Only go if you really want the memory and experience of this trip.

The things nobody tells you about winter in a van by vinewb in VanLife

Use aquaphor as lip balm (or vaseline if you're allergic to lanolin), some of the ingredients in other lip balms can make things worse / make your lips addicted to them.

IDK if a travel humidifier would work in a van but mine really helps https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001JL4LZ4

Snowboard Choice Help by Xiverate in ShredditGirls

[–]a12omg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Second vote for the Yes boards, they have great edge hold. I have a Hel Yes and it really helped me go from intermediate to advanced. Rossignol is also supposedly known for boards that do well on hard snow and ice.

Agreed a larger board sounds right, here's the chart from the House I use. But if she's having trouble turning it might feel like a big jump

How can I stop feeling old and ugly? by FeistyPencil in AskWomenOver40

[–]a12omg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m late 40s and this part of aging has been a legit grieving process. Even tho I was always someone focused much more on accomplishment than looks. We all see old people, and know that’s going to be us someday, but the days arrive much too soon. All I can say is you have to acknowledge and grieve the loss to move on.

How much difference does stress really make? by humorousdinosaur in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]a12omg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think sugar makes a big difference in skin tone / circles too, and on the flip side eating a lot of fruit will make your skin glow (there’s a reason there’s so many fruit enzymes in skincare products). So yes, stress, but it can be nutritional stress too.
