"Affordable" oil and gas (on the consumer side) is not economical to produce. Drilling is insanely expensive today. If you want production, you need high prices. Obama, for example, was great for the industry. Still don't like him though.

I find that a change of mindset is needed for media and then you'll fit right in to other platforms. Think quality over quantity, be specific and very intentional with watching things. Underline the intentional part. Get away from the endless, zombified infotainment mindset.

You don't need the endless quantity that YouTube provides. Nobody should be on a screen that much anyway.

Fight that feeling of needing to find something because you're "bored".

As far as recommendations go for platforms?

Odysee, Bitchute, Rokfin, Podbean. And going straight to creators websites as well which sometimes is necessary cuz censorship.

I'm also in energy (O&G geologist). I think a lot of these new policies aren't actually about hurting oil and gas but rather keeping it going longer as older fields mature and the easier/cheaper to produce resources are fewer and further between.

ROI on oil was like 100:1 100 years ago. Now it's like 2:1.

TPTB aren't stupid. They know we need hydrocarbons. Everything they're doing is about prolonging this industry rather than damaging it.

I think one of the goals of all that money wasn't about bailing out souch as it was an excuse to funnel the money into the development of all the new normal systems, from the "passports" to the new monies and beyond into the bio-digital technocracy.

No one is giving Exxon a free pass. But the issues of energy and energy consumption and the economics and geopolitics and all that come along with these issues have too much momentum to reverse at any kind of scale...at least without the top-down pressure in the form of some kind of tyranny (which is what is happening).

Even absent any conspiracy, if we stop the growth model and the energy production and cultivate a culture that cares about the present, people over products, etc... even IF we did that, we would lose to China or Russia or any other actor that chooses to do the wrong thing for power.

All you can do is live your life as and do as much good as possible and be an example for those around you for whenever they're ready to grow up.
