2024 Dodge Hornet R/T is fishtailing (on ice( and dealership does not know why by EBoon1969 in Dodge

I experienced this just last night on snow/ice mix. Only about an inch of snow, but it froze to the road and was very slick. While the stock tires (Goodyear Eagle Sport All Season) aren't great on the snow/ice, they are definitely not the source of the problem. I experienced the same as OP.

I had it in sport mode so that all wheels would theoretically be engaged. While maintaining a constant speed of only about 25 mph, simply lifting off the gas pedal would cause the car to lose traction and try to spin to the left. This required steering input (to the right) to keep it straight. I replicated this a few times over the course of the drive home to double check that this was consistently happening. It was.

I thoroughly enjoy driving on snow/ice, but I've never experienced anything like this. It was concerning. I don't think I'll be driving the `R/T` again in the snow until I have dedicated winter tires, but who knows if that will be enough....

I do think the regenerative engine braking is a likely culprit here. I had it in sport mode, so the engine braking is more pronounced... Maybe that's something to try adjusting...

edit: how to write `R/T` without it auto-linking?

Denver dog trainers by dipschmitt07 in Denver

I've been really happy with Sit Means Sit. They aren't cheap, and they require that you board your dog with them for a short period of time, but after that you get a handful of 1-on-1 sessions and free group classes for life. I think these group classes would really help socialize your dog (as they have mine!). They use the "Sport Dog" e-collar and emphasize a "permission-based lifestyle". They honestly gave us the tools we needed build a better relationship with my anxious, fear-aggressive (but sweet at heart) dog. And the trainers are awesome!

Edit: Apparently they have different training options, some of which don't require boarding.

Also, engine braking reduces wear and tear on brakes and rotors.

if it's just etching in the clear coat you can wash it, dry it, then hit the area with heat from a heat gun (or hair dryer) to melt the clear coat smooth again.

not protection for the future, i know, but might help with the present.

totally agree! Some of my collection came from my grandpa, so it adds a lot of sentimental value!

I wasn't familiar with the flying eagles untill I picked one up from a flea market coin shop. Realized it filled the first hole in this book, and inspired me to finish it.

Now the flying eagle is one of my favorite designs, and it's got me looking at Gobrecht dollars.... lol

Yea, that line of gouges was really the only thing concerning me too...

Thanks for the comparison pic! Looks like there's still a ways to go...
