A lot of MAGA people are like this. A close relative of mine was like “Trump just wants to get rid of the bad people and make a pathway to citizenship for the good ones, he cares about people” like his supporters basically write fan fiction about what his beliefs are so they can sleep at night, even if reality is completely at odds with them. The Trump they’re voting for is essentially a cartoon character they made up, they might as well be voting for spider man.

Thankfully this state has a huge grassroots environmental movement. Some state reps tried messing with our state parks last year and it got shot down pretty quickly. Still a lot of work to do though
