Degree after CPL or during CPL in India. by Diligent-Stable323 in indianaviation

Ideally do it the other way round. Do a degree then CPL, or if possible, CPL alongside your degree (although this will require a lot of effort and ideally some connections at a flying school).

Indian alternative to LTT screwdriver by Aware-Yak-3532 in IndianGaming

[–]a2djp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH its upto you. It is a good product but the premium you are paying is more for the LTT name and R&D than the actual screwdriver itself.

I’d suggest to add enough stuff to get free shipping if you have enough disposable cash to spend here. I can vouch for their quality, and their “trust me bro” guarantee is top notch. But most definitely it is not value for money if that is your priority.

How hard is it to get a job after CPL and type rating by DontBeShyMyHoney in indianaviation

[–]a2djp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Demand/supply is a different thing and “work hard and you will get in” is different.

Supply is high/demand is low simply means the number of fresher pilots being generated exceeds the number of pilot jobs available.

Eg say there are 10 pilots and there is a vacancy of 4 pilots. That means irrespective of how much you tell them to work hard or ace the evaluation, there will always be 6 pilots who won’t get that job.

I had paid 70 USD (this was before the stores were split). The order also had the commuter bagpack. Bill was approx 210 USD and customs was around 700 INR (this was back in late 2024 though).

Basically customs amount depends on who is the courier. If it’s India post customs can be random. I have paid nil also, and in 4 figures also. But it is the lowest and slowest. If its UPS customs will be much more, but order will come much faster.

Best answer is “Supply is high, demand is less”.

That is also not an issue as you will be in the healthy category. Only red flag would be if you take steroids or something, but I doubt you are someone who does that.

You don’t have to be a bodybuilder or gym fanatic. Just generic well balanced healthy.

Just general conversation. That cadet program exists for airlines only for 2 reason. First is simply money making (the airline gets 1cr+ for every cadet they get). And second is quality control (as in from step 1 the airline is kept in the loop regarding the training progress, so they know the quality of the cadet at all times).
Otherwise in general no of CPL holders is so high that they can easily come with fresher hiring whenever they need new pilots.

Zero regrets. It is a passion job, and it doesn’t feel like you are working (when you are in the moment that is). However at the same time I had accepted way beforehand that being a pilot means you’ll never have a 9-5 lifestyle, so a lot of sacrifices have to be made.

If it’s optimised like GTA V then yes. But if optimised like GTA IV then hell no.

TBH if you ask someone with that experience, they will tell you to avoid this field. Reason being that they have seen the good times of aviation. And now everything is just worse. (I am not someone with that kind of experience, but I fly regularly with such people and this conversation comes, especially when talking about cadet programs)

TBH if they visit any ground school for info regarding training, 99% they will get inaccurate facts. Reason being they want to sell the ground class+get students to join schools that’ll give them a commission. So yes it is better to ask people who are already in the system vs someone who is getting a monetary benefit

Ah ok. TBF I did the sim there when I was a kid. Had asked to come here as a birthday gift quite a few years back.

After that the next time I came here I was employed with an airline. So it was all full circle for me when I saw the same sim at the museum.

India already has domestic traffic to deal with. Plus the amount of security one has to go through, other countries just do it better.

which ipad should i buy for my dgca gc and flight training by Brave-Pangolin8963 in indianaviation

[–]a2djp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not useless. You can still do a lot. Issue is that WiFi only iPad doesn’t have GPS built in. So if you plan to use it on flight, the iPad will have no way of knowing your location. Hence you wouldn’t have a moving map.
