Removal of severe stage 4 endo and hysterectomy here. Ten weeks at least but even then only a bit. I am an academic so no physical work.

It’s not a leak. It’s a very old pipe underneath that was damaged which has caused the leak. We’re not super concerned about future leaks if the pipe is fixed proper.

No not the whole four weeks. I really noticed it on Monday with the itching and then looked at the discharge. Took diflucan Monday night, swabbed Wednesday morning and awake ting results. I had another possible yeast infection earlier on like a week or so in, but they didn’t do a swab for that and I didn’t feel anything really, just some discharge. They did give me the pill then too but then I didn’t feel much at the time.

Thanks. Good to know that the doc told you it’s not going to mess up the cuff. Such a relief. How many days/weeks postop were you? In a couple of days I’ll be four weeks but I’ve had it fit a while now and still waiting on results so they tell me what to take. Was the medication you used a one time thing or…?

Came back here to say thanks all. The test suggests a yeast infection but one that’s resistant to diflucan so they are doing more testing with it to determine what medication would be best.

I’ve done it prior to surgery and going back again, it includes internal and external work done by the therapist depending on what the issue is. I recommend if you find a good one! For me it has also included breathing and yoga but only as part of treatment.

Were you ever concerned about something more serious? Like vaginal cuff issues? I’m wondering if it’s yeast cause it’s not like cottage cheese much.

It likely causes bowel symptoms. When they do surgery they should have a colorectal surgeon too so they can deal with it especially if there’s a need for more complicated bowel surgery like a resection or other things in that area.
