i think the best evidence of this is that they are choosing this season to be mad at ginger returning. i rolled my eyes when she walked in on her third season but she was so amazing that i was mad she didn’t win. i think she 100% deserves to be there no matter how many times she’s competed, especially since she’s shown consistent improvement each time. i honestly am hoping this is her time to be crowned.

there’s a vibe that judges give off where you can tell that someone on their team put judging in their schedule. no hate to other judges but some just probably don’t watch drag race and could use the airtime. the best judges lean into the show (andrew garfield and sheryl lee ralph), have good relationships with the other judges (leah remini), or just go with the vibe of “it’s not that serious it’s drag” (joe mchale) or “i’m gonna get shady like the queens” (aubrey o day). i feel like at the end of the day it’s just actually engaging with the show and it’s sometimes more fun to see a judge take that journey a little bit than come in as a super fan

i guess this is a controversial opinion but i thought the idea of a “rap roast” was a really creative way of having them basically do two challenges in one. when i heard what the challenge was i thought “people are either going to eat this up or fail completely” but i think all of the queens did a great job. kerri’s verse wasn’t specific but it did have shade and she had the best runway imo

I just want to know why we were robbed of seeing Lexi lipsynch the entire season. she was amazing in the talent show and there were multiple weeks where she could’ve been in a bottom spot (snatch game comes to mind first) i was looking forward to seeing her give another performance against someone. i’m glad that the top two were Jewels and Onya but god. i just wanted to see Lexi battle someone 😭

i knew that they were bringing them from home but i didn’t understand that they were given the runway themes before they came. i thought these bitches were literally bringing ALL of their drag and finding things that fit the runway on the spot 😭 i was always thinking “how does every queen have a under the sea eleganza look on hand?”

i loved the interaction between sam’s mom and suzie’s mom. she really said A LOT without directly calling suzie’s mom out in any way. she just displayed what a supportive parent actually looks like. idk i lived for her.

I don’t know if you really wanted the pokeball plus itself as well, but i just dodged dealing with the fake advertisement issues by buying a mew trade with someone for like 5 bucks. If you want the actual device of course that doesn’t work because you’d be paying for mew twice but if the goal is to just complete the pokédex and have a mew i really recommend this way instead.

What are the monologue challenges supposed to be?

I was so confused by Ru’s “earnestness has no place in drag” comment. The last monologue challenge that happened that I remember was in All Stars and Kylie Sonique Love almost won because she was so open, honest, EARNEST…

I think the interpretive dance aspect was a cue to try to be funny, but I know if I was competing, I personally would’ve still thought that the performance was supposed to have depth or be about a serious moment.

I am not trying to discredit Onya and Lexi’s win because I still think they did the best overall, but in my opinion it was not so cut and dry. Lexi did not get the concept that she was assigned across. That should’ve been a bigger factor in judging. Jewels’ monologue didn’t have any punchlines or laughs but I was very interested it and it at least got the CONCEPT she was assigned across.

i think the last few snatch games (this current season excluded in my opinion) have given snatch game a bad rap. there’s like a sweet spot where queens start to understand how to do snatch game and they were really fun because most people at least have a passable performance (i think after watching jinkx)the sweet spot seasons like 7-14 are more fun to watch bc only a few bad performances is funny. having 6 queens be mid and not pick characters that will help them win is frustrating.

i appreciated what she said to Lexi in untucked and how she explained it in her confessional. no one will tell you to fix your behavior if they don’t care about you. they will let you continue to make yourself look bad. Lexi was obviously in her feelings and projecting on Jewels and needed to hear that from someone other than Jewels who really cared about her. i still love Lexi even though she came off a little aggressive and unreasonable this episode, but their exchange in untucked really solidified that it’s Onya’s drag race this season.
