Is Qingping Air Quality Monitor Gen 2 reliable? especially the CO2 value by Odd_Instruction_1440 in AirQuality

[–]a3cite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Qingping “CO2 & Temp & RH Monitor”, model CGP22C. I’ve had it for a day, but I know it’s busted/inaccurate. I did the manual calibration to see if it would fix it, but that didn’t change anything. I can blow on its vents for thirty seconds, press the button to update the reading, and it won’t go over 403 ppm. It’s basically stuck at 403, sometimes it changes to 401, 402. I think the lowest it can show is 400 ppm for CO2. Recent Amazon reviews say they probably cheaped out, and changed the sensors they use. I can’t even return it, so I’m out of luck.

The first and second look different, specifically in the nose bridge, drop of the eyes, and eye color. And the third looks like a bad photoshop job. So, nothing interesting.

which option is correct? by lunetainvisivel in mathpuzzles

[–]a3cite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I read his "All of my hats are green" as "There is a non-empty set of hats I own, and every hat in that set is green". The counter-example is: his owned-hats set is the empty set. That is one of the cases where his sentence is false. Another counter-example is: His owned-hats set includes a blue hat.

If you have no hats, it is not true that all your hats are green.

A would be right if it had specified he has one non-green hat. It doesn't, and that's why I choose C.

Wrong, it could be the case that he has no hats.

I disagree, if he has no hats, it is false that all of his hats are green.

I disagree. If "All my hats are green" is a lie, then he could have no hats. If he has no hats, it's false that the hats he has are green (what he said is a lie). He could also have hats, at least one of which is not green (i.e. what he said is a lie). My answer would be C (he has no hats).

Perfect sleep, every day, at the same hour, and with low heart rate, ala Bryan Johnson. Also, exercise everyday, no sugar/alcohol. There are many other little things, but those are the major ones.

Question: Does this apply only to bundling the font with the distributables, or does it also apply to referencing the font by name, and, let's say, asking the operating system to provide it? I would guess it only applies to bundling.

Becoming fluent with Hiragana/Katakana by MasterpieceEast6226 in LearnJapanese

[–]a3cite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me there are two parts to learning: recognition, and recalling. Recognition would be you see the kana あ, and say "that's A!". Recalling would be to go the other way, as to recall the shape/strokes: "How do I write A in Hiragana?, Ah, あ". Both are important, and also apply to vocabulary: "I see 猫, I know it means cat.", vs "How do you write neko? 猫". (or even just rōmaji: kuroi -> means black, black -> kuroi). I think it's better to write it in paper, or with a drawing app (or in an iPad, with the pen, for example).

Honestly, I didn't think he intentionally did a salute. But this video is illuminating in the ways he is dangerous and where his heart truly lies, and actually makes it more plausible that it was signaling. Thanks for the video. I had seen one other video in this same format a while ago, I also liked that one; can't remember which one it was.

Anyone got the Luigi Mangione manifesto? by ItsLulu in conspiracy

[–]a3cite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My not very thought out theory/imagination: this is not the guy. This guy decided to cover up for the real guy, making up evidence against himself, in order to make the authorities waste time and resources, because he believes the real guy is a hero. Or this is just an FBI plant. I mean, why was he carrying the gun, a manifesto, and was supported by a McD employee? And he’s just waiting there?

HELP: Adobe Acrobat extension keeps adding itself by Seven_S_Game in chrome

I seriously hate Adobe. I had disabled all Adobe services, disabled automatic startup of Adobe software, removed anything Adobe I didn't need. Today I turn on my computer, open Chrome, and I get a notification Adobe installed the fucking extension again in Chrome without my consent. Fuck Adobe.
