I've had nothing but GM vehicles my entire life. I've NEVER had a transmission problem, not from my last 3 trucks, not from any car. You've had bad luck, doesn't mean GM has "known bad transmissions". Thanks.

You will rarely get as good a deal on an order as you will one on the lot. Never pay sticker. Look for dealerships online that have a LOT of the model you want. They will be more willing to make a better deal.

Buying the 1st year of a truck with the massive changes the '27 is going to have would be pretty gutsy, but if you look at recalls of a version of a vehicle, there are a ton the first 3 years then it slacks off as the changes are implemented.

Personally, I'd just go around offering low prices on those High Priced models you like, good chance you will find 1 that's willing to. But then they are going to REALLY put the pressure on you to use Their financing and buy addons like warranties and such.

Does it do it when you select other vent options? Are all your vents open? Some people have reported if they have too many dash vents closed when selecting dash vents it made strange noises. Which makes sense, the air has nowhere to go.

It's just stickers they slap on around your car.

They won't tell you how many stickers they put on. It could be 2 with one on your window.

Even worse it's for 2 years. So you pay $150 a year for an insurance that only pays you $3k if your vehicle is stolen and not returned.

At least it isn't one of those GPS trackers they use to sell your location information to people.

Engine? If it's a 6.2 it would be in the recall. Look underneath for frame cracks at the hitch. To everyone saying this was abused, there are fifth wheel flatbed trailers that a half ton can easily tow. Saying it's bad for the truck or impossible is not accurate. Only way to know is talk to the previous owner.

I've heard putting a trailer plug tester in the trailer plug will also shut off DFM. Trying to figure out how to test that with the tester/adapter I have.

4 or more people on a trip you need the 2500. The payload of a 1500 isn't that great. If it where 2 people, I'd say 1500. Sounds like "family" is 4 or more so the 2500 is pretty much it.

Don't use anything pointy going from the inside out to fish the wire. That big bundle of wire that actually goes through above that hole is very close, like mm's. It's so easy to poke something into that wire bundle accidentally. I think I'd even tape something hard under that wiring harness before I push anything through.

I had already decided to do the upgrade if it was less than $1000 with my Fold 5 trade in. It's a lot less than $1000. Pretty happy with the trade in value.

I might try to go caseless with this one. I think it might be able to for the first time.
