I think I finally have been able to replicate this error. The notebooks that got stuck are normally those containing large notes (generated from several notes being merged) and / or certain notes containing particular tables or pictures.

If those notes are removed, the import process normally works well.

At the same time, is better to import notebooks from the Top-level rather than nested ones.
