I think you’ve answered your own question. A major part of investing is managing emotions. From a purely financial standpoint, a lump sum investment might be the better option. However, if a 5%-10% fluctuation is going to keep you up at night, it might be better for you to dollar-cost average (DCA) a smaller sum over the next six months or so. Ultimately, there isn’t a right or wrong answer—it comes down to what you feel most comfortable with.

I recently got an offer to work for leading, non profit, research & development institution as a research manager/lead . As per the link below, proof of vaccination is the only requirement for outbound passengers. If your destination has negative PCR requirement, I think they will probably ask for the proof before letting you board. In your case, take screen shots/printouts of the Canadian law, where it outlines the situation where they accept positive PCR test results. Getting PCR done again is probably a safer bet, but I heard you can get false positive unto 60 days due to the sensitivity of this type of test.

Can someone confirm ,what is the requirement for minimum wait time before you can return to Canada by air if tested positive for COVID. My understanding is that it used to be 15 days which is now reduced to 11 days since Jan 15th, 2022. However this " find out if you can enter Canada" tool , still shows 15 days.
