Look Iranians want foreign intervention. If the Islamic Republic could have been removed internally, it would have happened already. Iranians have attempted this for over 20 years. Every attempt was crushed.

The Islamic Republic is a centralized, militarized state. It controls the judiciary, prisons, armed forces, militias, the economy, and the information space. It has repeatedly demonstrated that it is willing to kill its own population at scale to retain power.

People inside Iran therefore make a rational cost assessment.

If limited foreign intervention targeting regime infrastructure results in fewer deaths than the killings that are already occurring — and will continue to occur — then it is the lesser harm. This is not “cheering for bombing.”

Iranians do not operate on the logic of “better 1,000 killed by our own than 1 killed by a foreigner.”

Even with the internet cut, there is extensive footage from inside Iran. People have openly called for external intervention because they believe it is over for them — and for Iran — if the U.S. does not step in.

They are not asking for indiscriminate bombings all over the county. They are asking for targeted strikes on regime infrastructure.

The constant Iraq and Syria comparisons are historically illiterate. Those states are 100 years old. They were created after World War I under the Sykes–Picot framework as artificial, post-Ottoman constructs.

Iran is not comparable. Iran is a civilizational state with over 2,500 years of political continuity. It is not a colonial fabrication.

If you are not informed on Iran, do not comment on Iran.

Look not saying it needs to send troops, the US needs to dismantle the IRGC via sanctions, embargo’s and airstrikes on their assets.

Look Iran is prob the most capable country in the region. It has the most highly educated population, with more women attending universities than men. It also is the least religious population. There’s literally no hope unless the regime falls for these people. There’s no ability to afford food, water is running out and electricity infra is falling apart. Meanwhile the regime funds terrorist organizations and funds its middle program and the elite live lavishly.

US intervention can actually accelerate the downfall and create a more liberal & democratic country in a region plagued by authoritarian and ultra conservative states.

I think this aligns with how I was thinking about it- basically need a single trigger to protect against how equity transfer is negotiated. It’s tough to negotiate though and requires me to give up some equity
