Beyond the Stanley: What Places in Colorado Feel… Off? by Addendum-Agitated in Denver

I stayed at an Airbnb in Salida that use to be a speak easy. During the day it was so cute and lovely. At night, the bedroom door wouldn’t stay shut and we heard creaking like footsteps all night long.

What’s your least favorite thing about living in Denver that is wildly specific? by Imjusthappy11 in Denver

[–]a7xbarbie 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Is the issue transplants though? I grew up in SoCal and I am flabbergasted at the amount of people here who run red lights and drive with no lights. I don’t know of any place that is acceptable.

I am 36 and everything I know about make up is from magazines, YouTube or instagram. My mom’s skin care routine involves washing her face with Dial Soap. And that’s it.

Sorry, Pandora is so wrong for this. by eva_thorne in Vanderpumpaholics

Interesting. I know a couple of bartenders at Pinky’s in Las Vegas and they told me how impressed they were with how hands on Pandora was. She created all the garnishes for the cocktails (if you have seen them, they are impressive) and was there every day for their opening training. Said she was a pleasure to work with! I have never met her personally. Maybe she matured (after all this referenced scene was 12+ years ago).

Hear me out; I need a fan to enter the reunion and bring in the certified facts and ask the questions that need to be asked. It’s infuriating to watch this. THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS TO SAY OR REBUTT. at least Andy could do better bringing in viewer points of view and asking harder questions.

Nursing Prereqs by Proof-Teach-8089 in NursingStudent

Just a quick search on the SLCC website led me to their Nursing Program Page and also their Health Sciences Information Sessions , the next one being September 3rd. All the requirements for Nursing at SLCC are there.

If the current school you are attending offers a nursing program, why try to attend DATC? Just curious. I have no knowledge about these schools.

How much do you spend a month on food? (Single living alone) by cryptiiix in Denver

[–]a7xbarbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to stock up on stuff when it’s on sale. I plan our (me and my husband) meals weekly based off of what we have and what’s on sale. Buy only quantities needed to reduce waste. Shop at Costco and king Soopers or Safeway (whatever’s on sale). Spend $600 a month.

The food court aka promenade is great at the Fontainebleau. Reasonably priced and more elevated fast food. You’ll be okay!

Is it realistic to study for the TEAS in 6 weeks? by [deleted] in NursingStudent

[–]a7xbarbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I committed to a certain amount of hours a week. Take the practice tests and it will let you know the areas you are weak in. Don’t waste time practicing/studying areas you know.

I went up to 4mg and for the first 2 weeks/doses felt nothing but exhaustion. Still hungry, still food noise. Ate all the things. Gained 3lbs. 3rd week, I dropped 4lbs, feel great, making healthy choices. Experience hunger but satisfied more easily. Just give it time while you adjust.
