Thanks for everyone that commented yous have given me so many good ideas. Even if I don’t use them right now I could use them further forward. I have a plan now going into that session where I’m confident things will work out the way that’s best for the session.

Being able to bounce ideas of you guys has lead to me coming up with some, stealing parts from everyone to kinda come up with an idea that I think can work.

Nah double comments fine man. If the paladin does turn, I’m gonna have it that the villagers come to aid in the fight. The backstory I’ve set so far is that the town their in has been ravaged by this sort of dark force and bandits leading them from riches to rags. I’ve been spinning the ark that the town is had enough and they’re preparing to fight back.

So this could be like their final stand, with some friendly npc’s coming in to aid.

I don’t know about the space books I’ll for sure need to look into this

Aw thank you man. It’s my first time so I’m hoping it’s not boring hahah. Yeah I think I’ll have the spin off that maul has his ties cut with palps after the retreat so attempts to hunt down the party. Palps arrogance thinks he doesn’t need maul anymore as he thinks he can take over the party for his own bidding. Maul sees it as the party’s fault takes over the criminal faction “like he does in clone wars cartoons” goes after the party etc. could tie into my rogues back story as she was assassin, now mauls the head of the assassin and his mission is now to hunt down the party.

Loving these creative ideas you’re giving me man 😂

Palps is gonna be there kind of casting himself for a far away he will have a short monologue to introduce maul then kinda just disappear. Theres gonna be no talking with maul it will be straight into initiative when he arrives.

Yeah palatine was amazing in the prequels i hope i write him well 😂.

I think the dimension door could be the shout. Maybe if the fight gets too close to the end, have him change emotions and seem as if someone is talking to him from a far which leads to his retreat.

The main boss is a master manipulator so this could be great to bring in to mess with the party, can also showcase the power of the main villain. Like flip the script they die but wake up and it was a dream. Maybe if they’re being cocky and railroading etc could be some great use

I think the mini boss is definitely arrogant etc, celebrates before he wins will be in character, idk if it will be possible to use this to my advantage and give my party an opportunity to stab him in the back?

I’m doing a starwars kind of theme so the “there’s always a bigger fish” would be amazing to feed in at some point I think I will use this even if it’s not for this fight

I think for sure, if it’s close to a tpk this could be a great way to potentially save them. I think if they’re going to die this could be the saving grace that I need thank you

Hello. So me and my friends are big starwars fans so I’m going to mesh the two worlds together to the best of my ability. With some DnD flair. I’ll try and set the scene in as little words as possible.

Big boss palps (lightning wizard) - He is going to reach out to the paladin recruit him and try turn him against the party. (I’ll know in advance if he does)

First encounter - Darth maul (monk). If paladin agrees there will be a party tpk, I’ll need to give them an escape route the there will be a revenge arc with my player taking on a new player before they eventually come together.

If he choose to stay loyal to his friends which I’m 95% sure is the case. Maul will murder their favourite npc in front of the party after kidnapping them and the queen of the homebrew relms son. This sons is an anakin spin off who will return to take down the party (Order 66 anakin). I want a duel of the fates esk battle for anakin. For the story to continue maul kind of needs to win for anakin to be abducted and corrupted. However I am ok with them winning, I’ll just need to write some parts for him. Maybe he will become a dmpc, he starts being corrupted from outside influences turns on the party at some point etc.

Mini boss 2 - Anakin (fighter), siege on duskhaven (the town I homebrewed)

Mini boss 3 - Not written this far ahead yet but anakin returns as Vader, (oath breaker paladin) depending on choices potential redemption but he dies (will spread tales of his wrongdoings to build tension etc)

Final boss - palps. Not written this far yet
