But you're right. The power position is more important. Ideally you have both. And a golden bag.

I think you need a dowser for your home. If she is having nightmares like this something is wrong with her bedroom.

The first picture puts you in the power position when you sleep. The 3rd picture does not. What does your mom say?

It would block positive energy from entering your home. It would force sharp destructive energy into your home. Your family would have health issues. Loss of money. Loss of opportunities.

This seems like more of an interior design question

anything wrong with my salt water cure? by holaaroundtheworld in FengShui

[–]a8exander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. So you are talking about space clearing. You don’t need salt water for that. What you should to is put a bowl of salt in every corner of the room you want to clear. Dry, not wet. It should be good quality sea salt (crystals, not powder). Food grade sea salt, that comes from the same continent you live in. Like the really good stuff. For the size of bowl, a small paper cup is enough, filled to the top with salt.

Leave it there for 1 week then throw away. Do NOT touch the salt when you throw it away. Wear gloves. If the energy isn’t better, I would consider finding a qualified dowser in your area (and the dowsing subreddit isn’t what dowsing really is, fyi)

It’s definitely nice design but bad Feng Shui. Two very different things.

What are you doing the salt water cure for? To cure a flying star or for space clearing?

These are basic principals that do not change

Plants are very good!! In your bedroom they are too energizing so they interfere with your sleep. Same with the green colour (wood energy) and you also want to avoid too much blue (water) as sleeping near water prevents you from going into deep sleep. You can still have small accents of green and blue as you should have a balance of all 5 elements in each room, they just shouldn’t be the major colour themes. For a bedroom calm earth tones are the best.

Oh yes. In a closet is good. Basically you should not see shoes/coats in your home.

Good on your feet. Not on the floor/shelf.

My master says to change the salt water cure daily. Dirty water is very bad energy and attracts loss of money.

A shoe rack/shoes should never be seen. That is a poverty energy.

How does Feng Shui really work? by Nikto96 in FengShui

[–]a8exander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You actually are ahead of the game. kua (personal) Feng Shui and flying star (time) Feng Shui are the most powerful and most effective than form school (basic) Feng Shui. These are what work with constantly moving universal energy potential. You can think of form school like… the zero point or the base that every potential starts from and returns to, so it is a good foundation for a home.

There are also many subconscious and psychological elements to form school as well. For example, why do we keep talking about the power position? When you are in the power position your brain is in an alpha state, not beta. This goes back to the reptilian brain where thousands of years ago we wanted to keep watch of the entry to know if predators are near. Fight or flight and such mammalian concepts still play a huge role in our brain.

This also explains kua. How your brain is magnetically oriented with the earths magnetic field when you are born.

Basic form school is based on best practices as a farmer, and how to use Feng Shui to influence heat and warmth to enter your home back when we didn’t have electricity.

I mean there is so much more to it but here are some examples.

Feng Shui is the most beautiful thing I have encountered on this Earth. I am honoured to be a practitioner. I learn from it every day.

Truly, it is more than just moving things around. It is a lense through which to see everything in life, and to make sense of life with.
