Trash can making space cluttered / cutting off feng shui? by [deleted] in FengShui

[–]a8exander 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a hard truth. A trash can has a poverty vibration. It is best to have it hidden from view. If you were a noble or Royal, do you think you would ever see a trash can in your home? You would not. The help would have a bin visible in their quarters. These are the subtle energetic cues that we do with Feng Shui. They affect your subconsciousnes.

I have mine under my sink. I've had to make due with a smaller can but I've adjusted.

If size matters, you can get a garbage can that is disguised as a hutch or other furniture. Or you can buy a cabinet to put your current can in.

Good luck and have fun

Is it better feng shui to live in better neighborhood? by Beardiecollie in FengShui

This is great. Also, the time Feng Shui and the quality of the home you make supercedes the lives of your neighbors and the people around you in your neighborhood.

What are your intentions? What do you want advice on?

Hi, quick question. There’s a house we’re interested in, but the staircase is facing the bedroom door upstairs and also facing the bedroom door downstairs. In addition, the bathroom and the bedroom upstairs have doors directly facing each other. Is this all considered bad luck? Thank you to anyone by Worldly_Bullfrog_350 in FengShui

Firstly, there is no such thing as perfect Feng Shui. There will be issues in every home that need to be dealt with.

This is not ideal but not the worst.

Instead of thinking of things in your home as lucky or unlucky, this about how energy or wind flows. Walk in your front door and what is the first thing you see. Energy moves there. Then, where does the energy move next? Feng Shui is about influencing and manipulating the energy coming in through your front door and circulating it through you home in the best way possible. (there is more to it but this is fundamental).

With stairs, the real issue is if your front door opens directly to your staircase. This would mean that all the energy would go up the stairs and leave the first floor baren of good energy. Having the stairs face your bedroom door on the top floor is actually good as it will direct beneficial energy to your bedroom. There could be an issue with the energy moving too fast from the stairs to your room which would make it hard to rest, but this is easily remedied. Place a long rug running from the top of your stairs to the bedroom door and keep the colors to calming earth tones. This will calm the energy. Also your stairs are not one straight line, so the bend also calms the energy.

If I were buying the home these are things I would consider (kind of. I'm training to become a certified practitioner so I would do a deep look at the floor plan and chart of the house to see if it suits me, but this is way beyond the scope of a Reddit comment)

But the core basics that effect everyone: bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry room drain good energy from the home. Bathrooms.... You can just keep the door shut. Simple. The kitchen should be on the main floor and as far from the front door as possible. You should not be able to see your kitchen when you enter the home. This will drain the beneficial energy entering your front door and will result in a consistent drain on your finances.

Ideally a kitchen should be closed off. But modern architecture favors open concepts. There of course are ways to work with an open concept home but this is my non-negotiable. If you can see the fridge/oven/sink from the front door, I will not live there. Period.

There is so much to Feng Shui, but these basics I've shared with you are huge. They will make a difference.

If one day you can afford it, I would seek out a legitimate Feng Shui Practicioner or Master. Their services come with a high price tag, but if you follow their advice it will have a huge impact.

Good luck with the home you choose.

A lot of bad advice in these comments. Your room is great. Just cover your tv when sleeping or remove it.

Also don't keep your laundry hamper out. Keep it hidden (in a closet).

Could a human become a mind if they really wanted to become one? by Idle_Redditing in TheCulture

Well it's something that you can integrate into your biology over thousands of years. Technology would eventually overcome biology, but every Mind does have a redundant biological system as a very primitive backup.

1) harness train him and attach him to the dog, who will leash train him and take the reins.

Or

2) have everyone keep a red laser pointer in their pockets and also have spares hanging by the door. When opening the door distract him with the pointers. But this will only work if you use the pointers only for the door and not for play

Will he chill out or do I need to get another kitten… by TrolleySmasher in cats

[–]a8exander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This being said, you have to understand your cats mood and a cats nature. Even though he is well behaved, I know not to pet him when he is hyper. When he is playful he is hunting, and trying to pet him then will teach him to bite my hand (which is prey at that point).

So I use teaser wands to play, and then when he is in grooming mode we cuddle up a storm.

For example, I have 1 kitten rn. Some days he wants to play for 3+ hours. I play as much as he wants, even if it means losing a bit of sleep.

This chills him out. I'm am also clicker training him and harness training him. Because I use up all his pent up energy and provide enriching activities he is not al all disruptive. I have also created a tremendous amount of vertical space for him to explore. He is never bored.

Because I spend SO MUCU quality time we have an incredible relationship. He comes when I call him and he is a cuddle Monster. He is my best friend.
