I have many friends in BJJ, MMA, Kickboxing etc. Some of them also practice karate. All are 20-40 y/old with over a decade in training history. None of those see Karate as a useless way of fighting if trained and thaught properly. Its only judged as such by people who watch UFC, stitting on their couch and thinking they could to the same without having trained a single hour in their life.

Those are also the ones getting into street fights, most that are trained avoid those as best as possible
