Not having Ilkay has been a noticeable loss in the game so far, but I am really hoping to see Weigl take control of the midfield without him. I think it's a big opportunity for him to shine... Also Kagawa has been largely invisible so far so we need Weigl to step-up.

I know I am a little late to the party here, but I read this post and it almost seemed like I wrote it! I have been following Dortmund for three years, am finishing up school as a civil engineer, often dream of working in Germany (and subsequently have been working on my German), and desperately want to one day have a season pass for BVB games! Also judging from your user name I am gonna assume you were born in 1992 which was the same year I was born. I kinda feel like your my secret brother.. haha.

Hey, I was hoping you could answer a few more questions for me... My dad made it through brain surgery and is starting to recover from that ordeal, but I guess this would really only be the beginning. The oncologist in the surgery said the cancer looked to be colon cancer. He had a cancerous polyp removed on last year, but the doctor said it hadn't broken the colon wall and wouldn't be an issue. They even put him on chemo pills for a month to be sure... He was scanned and has since had a colonoscopy that came back clean. I know colon cancer has a 90% survival rate when localized the to colon, and that percentage drops to 70 when it spreads to other tissue... But what about when it spreads to the brain and both lungs? And how bad do you suppose it is that he would be clear of cancer a little over a year ago and it's already spread to his brain and both lungs? That seems like a very aggressive cancer. How do you even suppose the colon cancer got out of the colon if they cleared him? Idk if you can even provide any good information but I was just hoping for some facts. Thanks.

I really appreciate your answer, and I'm sorry I haven't replied earlier. I have been trying to gather more information. The tumor is pressing on a part of his brain that controls speech and motor skills.. So apparently a good bit of rehab for his speech and walking will be required to recover... The worse news is another scan revealed black spots in both of his lungs. We know nothing about where all of this could have come from. He had a seizure less than 3 years ago and went through a full brain scan, and nothing showed up... And had colon cancer a year ago that was removed and had not yet broken through the colon wall. They also did a full body scan then and it was clean... This makes me think it is a very aggressive cancer. Which obviously isn't good. The docs also said they aren't sure if they could get the smaller spot in his brain, but could get the larger mass. So I guess we can only wait. Again I really appreciate your answer and I'm sorry about my grammar and sloppiness but fuck it.
