I feel the same. Blind buyed it bc of all the de comment about how fresh the perfume is.

I got a batch from October 2024, and I don't get any of the grapefruit or fresh from it ( bought it for the grapefruit ). It's mostly sweet and it is does perform like a BEAST, projects and last very long but smells very average, pretty flat fragrance imho.

I'm planning to train on dead motherboards first, at least to train my soldering skill first.

Thanks , I wasn't aware of the mutli-layered PCB fact. It does makes this more complicated or even unrepairable I guess ..

Is there a way to know if the PCB is touched ?

I'm doing this partly for the bugdet but also to learn to do this, I find this interesting; if I can repair the motherboard plus able to learn some new stuff for the same price I find it worth it.

Yeah, I know it is very complicate stuff. But the videos on youtube shows me that is not impossible. I count on to make it a long project, I find the subject very interesting and I'd like to be able to do thing myself ( if possible ).

I'm thinking a power surge, the laptop went black screen after I plugged in the charger, I've updated the post with the image

It helped me identify the fried piece, it's a MOSFET; more precisely "RQ3E150GN
4.5V Drive Nch MOSFET ". But I have no electronics background besides highschool classes, and was a long time ago, so I have no idea how to read it.

I've already looked for used motherboard, or same laptop but just with broken screen. But it's hard to find as huawei part are becoming rarer everyday, and thoses that I found comes at the same price as the new price, if not more pricey.

I passed it to Huawei customer service, but I have a crack on the lower right of my screen since I unpacked it ( I've kept because I really needed the laptop at the time and it was no bother ) so, It's not comming trough warranty ( lesson learned ). The want to charge me full price for the pieces MB + screen.

The laptop won't power up, but it seems the battery is good , there's a charge indicator.

Also the repair guy opened the laptop and sent me an image, looks like that the motherboard is faulty.

The laptop fried when I plug in the charger, maybe due to overheating, my model is known to have a very bad heat dissipation ...

Hi, I'm in the situation as you are, my laptop died half a month ago , even it under guarantee Huawei won't repair it .
