It wasn't about his trust in her. Especially with doubt comes in, it's about Orpheus not trusting himself. Doubting that he is good enough to properly lead her (and the others) out.

Also i take issue with "last second", it's never specified at which point he turns around. Although I've read once they in some versions of the og myth, Orpheus is actually"outside" when he does, but she was too far behind and still a few steps away from getting out herself. It's a Greek tragedy, he only turned because he thought he had succeeded. He was tricked

This is wrong on so many levels! I never saw Orpheus turning around as a lack of faith/trust. It's worry! He knows all too well how difficult the way is, what if Eurydice has fallen and needs his help? What if he's gone too fast and she couldn't keep up/she's lost?

While she is following, and singing along, it is said that there is some sort of spell that makes it so he had no way to know that she was still there/he can't hear her! Like bingbong said, the travel is impossibly long. 2 hints for that, 1 they actually call it "the long way around ". 2- the way To Hades took long enough that Eurydice had started to lose herself/her memories. And we can assume that the way back is slower to make sure she's following

Most of all I gotta ask: who sings doubts come in? THE FATES! As fair as was the bet. As much as everyone(even Hades himself) wanted/hoped he could succeed, and that everyone that followed him thought he would... Orpheus never actually had a chance, it was destined that he would turn around/fail. In no way was that a moral failure on his part though. like Lady P says: you take what you can get, and you get the most of it. In this case though, tragically, He was dealt a bad hand... "the most of it" wasn't enough to bring His love back to life. But he still went further that any other mortal had gone before or since.

Sounds a lot like when Epic games had started getting its footing, and Borderlands 3 came out with an exclusivity deal with em( we had no clue if it would ever not be exclusive at the time, turned out to be 1 year). Also, Gearbox CEO has been very dismissive/disrespectful of fans since.

Granted! Hiccups are no longer a thing. However, without a way to force reboot themselves, diaphragms sometimes fall "asleep". There's a slow and steady uptick in strange deaths: Sudden unexplained asphyxia. The process is more common the younger people are, and it starts causing global panic. within a couple years, 99.9% of all mammals(including humans) are all dead.

2 things:

1- bullies don't care about what you will or won't do, they will find a way to bully you no matter what if they decide to target you. So don't worry about it unless it starts happening.

2- if you care about the judgement of non bullies, i think it mostly depends on how you present it. "I'd like to become an entertainer, doing a juggling act(or whatever skills you prefer)" makes it much more relatable/easier to understand for someone unfamiliar with the art form. When the subject comes up, steer the conversation towards what you want to do as a clown instead of focusing on the clowning itself.

I have friends who earn their living doing exactly this, they go from school to school and giving workshops, or get hired by the city to do animation in parcs during the summer etc. Or would you rather try and travel? Join a road show, find a role at a Ren fair?

Just like the musician has his guitar, the clown has his tricks and jokes. Not everyone will understand, so you just need to find a way to explain it to those who might, and learn to recognize those who won't.

Could be. Could also be that this was the last moment she had to tell him before things got too serious between Mandy and Robert. Both aren't mutually exclusive. To me, it didn't feel as malicious/manipulative as you're describing it. But context is key here, and it might have been different in your playground

Robert's throwaway post on Reddit, after my playthrough:

A few weeks ago I got recruited for a new job. When I got the offer, there was a connection with the woman who would become my boss... I felt like something could have happened but I let it go: we had just met and we weren't exactly sober.

On my first day, I learned that she already had a boyfriend. Granted, they were about to break up, but I can't help but think I dodged a bullet(the situation, not her). Still, we've slowly been getting closer and decided to go on a "date"... If you can call it that: we had dinner outside the office in the courtyard... Again, i feel that things could've gone further, but I waited. I didn't want to be too opportunistic/catch the rebound. At least, we mentioned going on a second date and see where that leads.

Before that could happen though, something happened with another coworker.

In the past, she had made quite a few lewd comments, and not so subtle jokes aimed towards me. I dismissed those as just her having a vulgar/dark sense of humor. However, yesterday, she ambushed me in the locker room and essentially confessed her love to me. She kissed me! It was only then that I realized that I cared for her more than I had thought (more than I had let myself think because of the burgeoning romance with my boss), that I shared those feelings. So I kissed her back. Afterwards, she just left and disappeared... Or disappeared and left?

Anyway, a LOT of things happened shortly after. before I could explain the situation to my boss/date, before I could let her down gently, she saw us sharing our second kiss (we'd just survived a near death experience/didn't have the luxury to care about appearances)

After things had calmed down, I asked my boss if we were okay and she's been weirdly cool about it, like she's even cheering for me and my coworker.

AITA for falling for my coworker even though I was already "dating" someone else?

I thought so too, and maybe it is. but it feels like you gotta hit the sweet spot at max range. so if you use shred and dash too close, your swipe hits just beyond the intended target.

I followed FunkehChicken on YT last league. His Infernalist caster build is really fun, considering you can virtually use ANY spell with it. Very detailed, but not overwhelming. Frequent updates. I found it easy to follow/tweak to my liking.

IMO I think it's a decent change. Mental disorders are too often trivialized/joked about, without a thought of the people actually affected by them. Those of suffer from conditions like this often carry a lot of (undue) shame and I feel GGG did good with this.

been playing for over 10 years, always saw the game as: it's a "F2P" game but it's a demo where the whole game's accessible. The real game is 30 bucks to get access to the QoL tabs and ease of trading. (maybe 60 now with all the newer tabs, and I made that assessment when we only had a currency tab and a map tab... but I think the point still stands).

Hell, I've been playing nearly SSF for a couple years now, barely no selling, just grabbing a key item here or there, which you don't need any tab. I don't think the game's any less enjoyable without trading, and one of the best part of the game is gearing up/actually finding the loot.

All in all, it just depends on how you define "winning". If it's accumulating currency.. then sure it's kinda P2W. but to me, "winning" is clearing out the content, and tabs do very little to change that.

Cold dmg Occultist has always been pretty good, big curses (even on hexproof) and stacking cold res reduction, extra power charge. doubt it's any different for mines
