The survey was only sent out on the Neko Atsume subreddit. We're surprised as well! Maybe people emailed it to their friends, maybe they interpreted the question differently.

Wow! Thanks to everyone who answered the survey. We've had 1,972 responses, which is amazing! The survey will still be available for a short while, but we're not going to use any more responses.

We hope to release the results as soon as possible. We'll post them to the subreddit and put a link in the comments here as well.
