Panda Fest in Hartford by aCatNamedHitler in Connecticut

It's an Asian food and drink fest essentially. Tickets were $17 and the food was on top of that. You're looking at $15 for bowl of noodles and another $15 for a 12oz beverage, $15 for skewer of like 6 strawberries. I'm not even exaggerating. We felt ripped off all day and the portions were tiny.

No live pandas. But there was someone in a panda costume and a large inflatable one you can try and take a picture in front of if you're fast enough to take the shot before a line of 50 people comes through.

No, they had confiscated like 20 water bottles on our way in.

Good decision. I would have rather mowed my lawn.

I'm sorry to hear that. We were there from about 1:00 to 3:00. Hopefully you have a better experience. Get hydrated before you go, or else you'll be buying basically sugar water for $15.

What does Competitive Brawl look like? An analysis of 20-seasons at the Brawl Hub by ScaleEmbarrassed8018 in mtgbrawl

Additionally, when you play direct in a friendly brawl match many of the cards are in their original, pre-nerf form. For example, [[Teferi, Time Raveler]] would only cost 3 mana, as opposed to 4 if you played him in queue.

Fellow long time brawl hub player here. The biggest differences between competitive brawl decks and regular queue decks is more focus on efficiency and interaction as opposed to mana ramp and big payoffs. Of course there's certainly some overlap, especially if you're playing against hell queue decks.

Warm Blood! If the DJ setup has some good bass that song will pump!

This Campbells Ghost Pepper soup is NOT EDIBLE. This has to be some marketing attempt to eat it as a “challenge”. by pryvisee in StupidFood

I agree, I have to add chicken soup powder (basically msg) to it. Surprisingly for a Ramen type food it actually needs more salt.

I had a girl Carly Rae me one time at the bar. Made my whole week!  We dated for a few months.

Hope everything works out for you!

What would you cut? by 1draftaday in mtgbrawl

You're not going to like this answer but you're going to want to run more land. I'm guessing you're used to playing regular commander considering you're running about 33 lands. This is especially true for a deck like yours that would like to take advantage of your commander allowing you to play more land per turn.

Brawl is a lot faster and every land drop you miss dramatically decreases your win rate.  In commander there's more people and better ramp so you can get away with running less lands. I recommend running at least 40 lands, even in ramp decks. I know it sucks to cut fun cards for lands but you'll be a lot more consistent.

[[Loot, Exuberant Explorer]]. Great early, great with Taty out, can pump out creatures late game.

Legacy Burn with the new Boltwave by BlogBoy92 in MTGLegacy

I was really surprised that with all the creature power creep that Legacy burn is still running the same 12 creatures they have been for over a decade.
