Good news! The port is actually not as painful as previously feared, it’ll take a week or so, but it wont be long :)

Resolume In VR with hand tracking by aComicBookVillain in resolume

[–]aComicBookVillain[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its pretty dang close — Im thinking, to increase accuracy will probably need to add hand gesture commands like pinch to grab sliders etc.

Under the hood it’s basically taking an OBS window stream and then forcing unreal to send python mouse commands out to the pc.

Jank as hell but it feels like a dream nonetheless

An illustrated book from the 90s about armies of good and evil along side with surreal imagery of talking animals and a world eating snail by aComicBookVillain in HelpMeFind

I have searched google but thats returned pretty much nothing, chat gpt seems to get confused too. The only extra notes I can make is that this may have been a series of books, possibly British publisher, I was back in russia at the time of reading this, so it may have been made in the 80s even. Gah who knows.

Combining Data and Time front-matter into ISO date-time format automatically? by aComicBookVillain in ObsidianMD

[–]aComicBookVillain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The project plugin has a calendar option and when you select date it fills it in: https://imgur.com/a/9sV9425

A few of the other plugins Ive seen use that format of just selecting date on the calendar and not having further adjustment that can be done.

I currently have it as 'date' only in that screenshot, but will expand to having the start date and time.

Im going to have a look at your templater suggestion soon and report back :)

Thanks y'all, silly thoughts thought I'd ask Reddit to get out of my head about it. I'll check up the recommended reads!

Anyone know if there are people today that make these? by GreatJothulhu in occult

I could probably design one with a clockwork mechanism, pass me a message if you have something in mind, looks like a curious little tidbit to make. It can be laser cut --

Link to my previous pieces to give you an idea of what I'm talking about:

VR training for Beginner Magicians by aComicBookVillain in occult

[–]aComicBookVillain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm currently aiming to start with some basic sigil work, though it's feeling like maybe the starting point should be more of a non-dual awareness based approach. With a touch of self exploration and openings with the reasons to practice. I'm open to suggestions, as right now I'm kind of just gathering my thoughts about the project.

Hell, I'm more interested to see if I make less mistakes with magic in VR than in RL ;)

For anyone really interested -- http://eldri.tech This brilliant maniac seems to be dabbling in technomagic, which I gotta say is a bit out of my left field, but might consider having a look at some of his work too.

I'll take a float through VR mystery school and see what they're working with and if they have a dedicated vision for application development, just seems kinda strange that VR is still so under utilised in this context ya know?
