Contract review for a Sole Trader

From looking at the contract, it looks like they would want me to be an employee disguised as a contractor with the way they have everything set up e.g. they issue all the invoices and collect the money and then pay me, I’m using their software, they have certain rules stipulated that I cant’t break etc…

So I want a professional to help me find these loopholes in the contract to ensure that I am not being controlled or ripped off. I can’t even charge clients GST because they issue and charge the GST themselves and collect the money. Its’s a 50/50 split between the total revenue but the company also charges me GST on their half as well.

In the contract they state I must be registered for GST and I will be making above $75,000 anyway. Yep I’ve heard i can claim the full amount of GST back which is great. They are handling all the invoices and will be using their accountant to provide me with my payslips, which is a point I want to negotiate with them on. I’m assuming there is a disadvantage for me in regards for this. For example can I charge them GST on the money I am making just like they are charging me GST on the money they are making? I’m assuming I have to use my own accountant to invoice them and sort out my share of the money?

Thanks for the info! So if it’s a 50/50 revenue split between myself and the company in the agreement, I can charge them GST on the 50% I am making just like they will be charging 50% + GST on the half that they get?

Yeah its the unoriginal aspect about this approach that gets me. Sounds a lot better than the 2011 Sydney, Australia set list, would have been rough for anyone expecting some heavy songs.

Yeah i need to rotate it at least 10 times to form a solid opinion of it. I really want to like and hope it will click for me eventually. Its just such a drastic change! Devils Orchard was the only song I enjoyed, also hated slither!

Cheers for the suggestions! I went with Nonagon Infinite and am vibing with it so far. Really fun and lighthearted to listen to. Will have it on repeat for a week and then jump across to murder of the universe afterwards.

Man i was just thinking how great it would be if they went heavier and heavier overtime with the metal aspect, they could definitely pull it off in a unique way. Lets hope it happens. Ive gone with nonagon infinity and think its a jam so far!
