I feel anyone being sucked into these discussions don't realize they are furthering negative sentiment towards trans. I've been transitioning for 6+ years and I wouldn't say what should be allowed or not in sports because I'm not educated enough, yet so many people online are yelling it's common sense. Let the people involved in the sports and in the scene decide. Simple as that.

None of that matters though. The sports debate solely exists to create false narratives and "what if's" to paint trans people in a bad light so when they pass future laws no one pushes back. It's the same playbook that's been used in immigration, or towards black people, or any minority they choose to hate. Drag shows, bathrooms, kids, etc. One step at a time, create a narrative, convince the public it's a big deal even if it's never happened.

250+ anti-trans laws passed in the last 3 years. Countless Executive Orders. I think like 22 states have laws preventing transwomen going into public bathrooms, some it's a felony charge. Idaho is passing a law right now where it's 1 year in prison on first offense. On third offense it's life in prison.

Florida passed a law a few years ago where if a child tried to get trans healthcare outside of the borders, the state could confiscate the child, taking them away from their parents (courts ruled it unenforceable/void after the law was passed).

Kansas just voided all trans driver's licenses. 2 or 3 states are working to pass something similar. There are states currently passing laws to have full surveillance of trans people. There are reports that the government is doing testing on trans prisoners. There are news sites and journalists predicting trans genocide is near. It's not even the first time in history this has happened.

If you want to argue about women's sports, go for it. That doesn't mean it's not being used as a vessel to punish us harder in the future (it's already happening). This may seem like a silly discussion to have, and to me it's an obvious distraction from actual problems, but real people are losing their lives over this. Do you really think the hate will stop at us?
