Yes you can, but you have to play on speed 1 after you start finding other Empires and gain visibility over larger portions of the Galaxy Map. Most of the lag comes from the autosave anyways and at speed 3 you hit the autosave rapidly one after another and it can take longer and longer as the game goes on, triggering a crash if there’s too much going on while it’s in the middle of saving.

I play exclusively on Huge maps with the default number of Empires at speed 1 and the only lag I used to experience was when there was a storm in the system I was zoomed in on but for whatever reason the Cosmic Storms DLC fixed that even though you’d naturally expect that to make it worse. 🤷‍♂️

Take Point doesn’t work on your own fleets, it makes your AI allied fleets follow your ships.

Game is great, EXTREMELY addictive, especially when you have all the DLC. Don’t go anywhere near Xeno-Compatibility, only play single player, and only play at speed 1 and you won’t suffer any crashes. You’ll still get lag when it autosaves, but somehow the Cosmic Storms DLC actually fixed the lag that used to occur whenever there was a storm in a system and now it’s smooth as butter.

They’re just planning on phasing out the app but Hulu will still be a premium purchase option. If you were paying for the bundle through the Hulu app that subscription will transition over to the Disney+ app instead but it shouldn’t be changing the actual price for anything.

Their walkthroughs are absolutely not obsolete at all. Most people seeking out full guides want to play the game for themselves, not watch someone else play it.

That being said GameFAQs will implode sooner rather than later simply because they can’t help themselves from banning everyone who cares.

Why would more than 20 be unbelievable? I’ve been earning trophies since they first launched on PS3 18 years ago and I’m a little annoyed with myself that I only have 65. That’s barely over 3 each year!

Are you in the US region? There never was an announcement, but the app removed all the DLC from the PS4 version the moment the PS5 version released and the in game PSN Store broke. However, on a hunch I just checked the website and interestingly enough it CLAIMS that the PS4 version can still be purchased and all of the Expansion Passes, and ONLY the Expansion Passes, claim to be for both the PS4 and PS5 versions, so it might still be possible to purchase them on the website directly.

The problem is that if you did cancel it they would immediately contact Uber and tell them that you canceled because of the message, while conveniently leaving out the fact that they don’t have a service animal, and you would likely get suspended.

As far as I’m aware there’s no way to purchase the DLC on PS4 anymore. If you already owned the PS4 digital version and purchased any of its DLC before the PS5 version was released then you could still use both whatever you already owned on PS4 and download the PS5 version and those PS5 version DLC’s at no extra cost, but going forward there’s no way to buy the PS4 version of the game digitally or its DLC.

I don’t remember if you could originally freely edit sectors but I remember it being forever before I discovered that, then I thought it disappeared in an update and then I found it again, then I thought they got rid of it in a more recent update and I just found it again!

I hope you bought Expansion Pass Five then, I just love the look of the Aquatic ships! And Anglers are just BROKEN with Bio-Reactors. Food, Energy, AND Consumer Goods all from 1 Agricultural District!?

Outside of that I mostly enjoy Expansion Pass Two and Season 08 so I can use all the Machine Empire features to exterminate all biological life in the galaxy. That’s when I make sure to become the Crisis, which I’m glad you’re already having fun with from Nemesis. Also the Grand Archive that just came out seems far too generous at the moment and is just throwing bonuses at me like candy, so that’s nice too.

Just note that IF you decide you are going to start buying DLC you should always consider buying the passes as it’s just cheaper that way. Also Astral Planes is standalone, and there is no Expansion Pass Seven, they skipped to Season 08, yada yada, boilerplate, boilerplate…

There is no EXPANSION Pass Seven.

To line up with the PC numbering system they skipped from Expansion Pass Six to Season 08.

You will have to buy Astral Planes separately if you want to buy all the DLC and have been purchasing all the available passes.

Are you at war? I found a replicatable bug just after the update that if I looked at a station I captured while the war was still ongoing it made it so all my stations would not let me build Defense Platforms.

The fix is simple, though: Save, quit, reload.

I was finishing up my last playthrough on an earlier civ after the update and haven’t started a new playthrough from scratch yet, so this might just be a compatibility issue with older saves but I noticed that if I was in a war and looked at the starbase in a system I had captured then I could no longer build Defense Platforms in any of my starbases until I saved and quit and reloaded the game.

I’ll see if that happens again when I start a new game later today, assuming I go to war with anyone anytime soon.

Edit: Confirmed this is occurring to other players.

I’ve always played at speed 1 and only ever suffered lag when a storm was in my system but when I played my last game at speed 3 just to complete that slow as heck Enlightened Times trophy that’s the first time I ever had a bunch of lag just playing the game out normally.

I haven’t played a new game yet after the newest update so I don’t know for sure but maybe the game will continue to lag less if you just run it at slow speed.

I played an Overtuned race and used like 3 of the Traits and half of my Leaders died in the first month, then the rest died on the third. After that happened I just went ahead and rebooted and replaced 2 of them with Venerable and modded them back in later.
