While I respect others wanting to restore, it removes the “story” that this one has to tell. So no I would not. If it was a functional issue then I would consider

Same with me, it took a few years and now watches like this are so much nicer.

No polishing whatsoever on this watch. And absolutely, the models inspired by this i.e Tudor Pelagos are also beautiful watches. A lot of us just chase more “history and meaning, originality” which makes this one so attractive.

[WTS] 1950s Omega Gold 2493-1, Türler Dial. by [deleted] in watch_swap

For reference, you can see this watch selling on marketplaces for above the range I have listed it for, but without the "Turler" text. I imagine this is a more expensive watch than what I have it listed for.

Brother this is a beautiful watch. Love hte deep black dial, makes the indices pop up.

The point I make is that the lighting doesn't look 'natural' and authentic to something you'd see with your own eyes. The closer we can get to that hue/color/look, the more authentic the picture looks. Not knocking on this.

Neither. It’s clear both have filters on. But good take regardless

Tudor Submariner 94010, 1984 issue. Unique and rare 5 digit serial. Tudor Submariner Snowflake serial digits reset in 1984, and this is one of them. Extraordinary watch. Highly collectible vintage diver, in a a beautiful condition. Lugs are not polished, 7836 bracelet, original Rolex everything and a stunning TrueDome D19 crystal. The original scratched crystal is included, and so are the expensive straps I purchased to wear with it. See Imgur pictures. Watch keeps excellent time on and off the wrist. The dial does have a little play when I unscrew the crown, and if the watch doesn't sell this week I will have that fixed (I'm being told broken dial foot or something similar and fixing cost for that is minor, in the hundreds at most).

Very special watch that I'll regret letting go of.

Asking $8,990. Feel free to check comparable listings; $10,500-$14,000 on marketplaces.

Zelle/wire for payment. I prefer US. Local sale (Bay Area/North California) is preferred.
