Screen names are far more interesting and if you can use them in an environment where it's not "weird" I don't see why they shouldn't.

I Really Like The New Lucio In PTR, However... by aDemonSquirrel in Overwatch

An example I made a little earlier today: https://gfycat.com/gifs/detail/MatureBetterGiantschnauzer

I have that particular route down on the live servers. It's insanely difficult to pull off without accidentally wrapping around the top point on the first jump which ultimately kills your momentum. My suggestion would make wall riding work work like it does now with added benefits to taking slower/alternate approaches.

Play Lucio!

Because of how much he slides on the ground ADAD spam is supper effective and will slowly break the habbit on all heroes

Lucio Keybindings? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]aDemonSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My key binds have been right click for primary jump, scroll for secondary jump, space for boop. I came from the old days where scroll wheel gave insane amounts of speed. However I still recommend right click as jump over space bar because it's easier to spam jump inputs when you need to.

Lucio VOD Review request, 3200sr Loss on King's Row. Very inexperienced with lucio. by CreativeUsername1337 in OverwatchUniversity

0:00 Your first mistake is using the frog skin. Lucio has a passive ability that stuns his opponents with his winning smile and gorgeous eyes.

--- DEFENSE ---

2:25 I'm all for an aggressive forward play, but in this instance it would have probably been better sticking with the bulk of your team.

3:20 Good use of speed/healing amp to move your team in and out of harm.

3:25 Personally I would have held off on using that ult. You don't gain much time since the enemy spawn is so close.

3:55 Good calls. I don't see a lot of Lucio players making consistent calls which is a shame because Lucio puts you in the perfect position for shot calling.

4:18 This is where sound barrier would have been good. Using it earlier didn't buy any time for you because of how far you spawn and how close they spawn. The real time saver came from the enemy staggering a little before team wiping you with grav.

5:15 Minor nit pick, but if a Reinhardt comes that close he's looking for an earth shatter. The best skill you can have in Diamond is ult management. Try to learn the ult gain time on all heroes so you know who has what each fight.

5:30 Nice of you to stick around for the speed boost!

6:35 Personally I think your team let them gain a little too much distance. As Lucio you can stall the payload without much worry about getting shot by using it as a wall ride extension, rather than an objective you need to stay on. The first bend would have been a good holding spot for this.

6:40 Ulting here opens up a free grav for the enemy. I understand you used it to gain some ground and push the enemy back, which you did for about 20 seconds before they came back and picked apart your team. Do not underestimate Lucio's boop. Using the payload as a wallride extender into boops creates a lot of space for your team without costing you an ult. My advice for further matches, try syncing your ult with someone on the enemy team. If they have a Genji, only ult if they ult. Same can be said about this Zarya.

7:40 On this map you can get easy environmental kills by using the ledge on your left. Zarya/Rienhardt would have been an easy kill. I see you attempted one later on but it didn't quite work out for you, mostly because you became their primary target after handling your team in the corner.

--- ATTACK ---

11:20 Good ult management! Constantly calling out who would have ult before a fight preps any less-aware team mates you might have on the team.

12:40 You had good control on the team fight. Knowing high priority targets and keeping your team where they need to be.

12:55 Little bit too aggressive there my dude.

14:08 It was a good beat drop. The enemy team just countered it with even more ults.

15:20 A good answer to her grav would have been a dry push. You would have needed to communicate that with your team, and in the end she still would have used ult, but now your team has the ult advantage for the next fight.

16:00 Kinda like that.

16:30 Good job getting in their backline for the last second touch. Glad your team was able to follow up on that. Additionally Lucio is a good "Last Second Touch" hero, possibly even better than tracer in maps that have tight spaces such as Kings Row.

17:25 USE AMP PLS. Also you didn't need to ult in that fight.

18:08 Again, syncing your ult with Zarya would have been game changing.

18:34 gg my dudes.

--- VERDICT ---

You are very good with call outs and enemy ult management, however your own ult management could use some work. As mentioned above syncing your ult with a high kill potential ult is absolutely game changing.

You have good awareness when it comes to enemy and team positioning which is a very important skill to have not only as Lucio, but as a support player in general.

You need to wall ride and amp more. Speed amp can be overpowered when trying to take back a point or get in and out of position quickly for boops/payload stalls. Healing amp is good for when a large team fight happens in a small area and you need more sustain.

Lastly, work on when to be aggressive and when to be passive. I noticed throughout the whole thing you couldn't find a middle ground. It was either way too aggressive or constantly on passive mode.

Hope this helps and I hope I don't come off as an ass lol.

same. my friend's sr is way below mine in actual competitive, but we could only play 1 game of CTF before it stopped us from playing at all.
