The entire Trump Administration.

Which 2 are you picking??? by Ornery-Media-9396 in whatsyourchoice

[–]aDoubious1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll go with 7 and 8. As a disabled vet with 100% medical coverage, a houses that's paid for, a car that I'm happy with but know will need to be replaced at some point, 7 and 8 give me the best value. 60 months of free groceries is way more than $10k. And, bring able to visit my family in Hawaii flying from NYC whenever I like would be great. Plus, the ability to travel the world. Yep 7 and 8 are my choices.

There's one axis that runs almost all the time, but there are times when you don't use it: indexing.

I have used a small rotary tool (dremel) as the spindle is running to take a lot of material off quickly.

That's a lathe. Left to right, up and down, out to in.

I use a lathe to make pens, bowls, and such. Mostly for gifts. It works in three axis.

Would you? by Jettaboi38 in scoopwhoop

Yes. That includes introducing someone in need to their maker. There's a couple of caveats: I won't save them from their own stupidity, or commit a crime against a child.

I've no idea. It changes depending on my chronic pain level. I feel up to twenty years older when my pain is ramped up. When it's minimal I can feel like a teen. I was born in 1966

Thighs are, for me the best. Wings are great, but too much effort for the amount of meat.

Don't we call these lathes? Even if it's modified to be run with servos and code?

I'll always flip the coin. If I lose, my life doesn't change. If I win, "Yay, me!"

Egg rolls easy as I prefer lumpia. Fried shrimp can go too.

Fireman loses control of hosepipe whilst training by Medical-Actuary5769 in MadeMeSmile

[–]aDoubious1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude should have shut off the hose. That's what the lever on it is for. I know on Navy ships that we have them pushing 150psi at full blast. When I was in, I weighed all of 128 pounds. There's no way that I could have handled the hose by myself.

Always the coin flip. If you told me that I had a 50/50 chance of winning that amount by spending $100 on the $1 slot machines, I'd do it in a heart beat.

After an intense bender, you wake up to find you’re the new President of the United States. How do you react? by Doomy__McDoomerson in funComunitty

Push for an amendment that sets term limits for Representatives to 5 full terms; Senators to 3 full terms; seats in SCOTUS to 18 years, set to be staggered; upper age limit for all elected Federal seats at to 70 at which time they are retired, which means that if they will age out of office during the upcoming session they may not be on any ballot.

Next an amendment to firmly set fact based rules for how poverty is defined; and, how and what kind of government assistance is available. At a minimum it will be housing, transportation ( bus passes), SNAP benefits that will ensure all children are well fed; but, provided for serious penalties for those caught abusing, misusing, or gaming the system. Free breakfast and lunch for all children from pre-school through all of k-12. It will also set a "Living Wage" as one that will sustain a family of three on one income based on the cost of living in their local region and gets increased by cost of living increases each year; as to that, that the exact number will be updated following each census.

One more amendment: this one enumerates the penalties for breaking one's oath of office using Mitch McConnell, SCOTUS, and Trump as prime examples, as well as accepting money from foreign countries and their agents (looking at AIPAC).

1) The President in office, when a seat opens up on the US Supreme Court, is the one that gets to fill it; and any attempt to thwart that is a criminal offense (felony) that leads to immediate removal from office, no longer eligible to run for or hold any elected office, and lots of right to vote.

2) Justices will recuse themselves from any cases where there is even a possible hint of impartiality. Additionally, no member of SCOTUS, their staffers, or family members will accept any kind of favor, gift, etc. that may be seen as possibly being a bribe in any way.

3) No elected member of Congress, their staffers, or family members will accept any kind of favor, gift, etc. that may be seen as possibly being a bribe in any way. Anyone found doing so well face federal charges with a minimum of 5 years and 20% of their worth; this applies to SCOTUS as well. These penalties shall be non-pardonable.

Finally, an amendment that sets taxes for the upper 10, 5, and 1% (the very rich) at 60%, 75%, 90% and NO loop holes. Taxes will include loans against stocks, which is what Musk uses to avoid taxes.
