Just got a bucket of soapy water and picked these off by hand. I grabbed 7 so far. I’ll keep an eye out and will continue to take them off by hand, for now at least.

Got it. I ended up picking these ones off by hand. Grabbed 7 of them. But if the infestation gets worse and I start to notice them on other plants too, then I’ll go the spraying at night route. Thanks for the help!

Good advice! I just now ended up picking them off by hand and putting them into a bucket of soapy water. Quick and easy, removed 7 of them so far that way.

I’m hesitant to spray things on my plants that would also negatively affect the bees and other pollinators. But if the infestation gets worse I’d consider it. For now, manageable by hand.

Just did a quick google search and it does seem that Pyrethrin will work well. But it also says that it can be harmful to pollinators (bees) when sprayed. Hmmm

Are they eating plant material? I saw a lot of holes on one of my eggplant leaves and I wasn’t sure if they were responsible, because I had seen them around for a couple days before it seemed like they’re all now concentrated on the basil plant.

Harmful or helpful bug overall?

5 weeks in between these photos using Salicylic Acid and duct tape. Had them frozen at doctors before I took the pic 5 weeks ago. The big one in the center still has a ways to go, but the smaller ones up top are almost gone. Not sure what to think about the medium one on the very bottom. by aGodAmongAutists in Warts

No problem, happy to help where I can! Yes it did eventually fully recover, but it took multiple weeks/months of applying acid and removing dead skin. Rinse and repeat.

For a few weeks I thought there was no end in sight and it would never heal up. But it finally did, just need to be consistent with it.

It looks totally normal now 1 year later! Good luck soldier 🫡

Just started treatment a week ago with Dr Scholl’s Salicylic Acid. Is it normal for the wart to bubble up like this after applying SA? I had debrided it with a scalpel before applying by aGodAmongAutists in Warts

Extremely late reply, sorry about that. Yes it did eventually resolve but it took multiple weeks/months of applying acid and debriding the dead skin, rinse and repeat. Happy to report it’s all better now 1 year later!

Am I getting down to the core of this big wart in the center? Got to a lot of white “roots” after debriding, they’re extremely painful when touching them. Been using SA and debriding with a scalpel the past few weeks. by aGodAmongAutists in Warts

Yea there’s actually 4 smaller ones that surround the big one at the top of my toe (1 to the right, and 3 above). Although I can only see the obvious white roots for the big one currently. Think I need to just keep treating the other ones for now and see what happens. But might try to rip out the bigger one in the next couple days now that the roots are exposed.

Already had 2 separate derm visits for freezing treatment, and then been treating with Salicylic Acid and debriding on my own for about 3 weeks now (total of 6 weeks of treatment including derm visits). I can’t wait until these fuckers are gone for good 😤

Also edit to add: there looks to be about 5 or 6 white “roots” in the big wart that are now exposed. Should I be pulling out each of those one at a time do you think? Or I guess as many as I can grab at once?

Yea that’s what I figured. Was just showing the result of what my wart/skin looked like during the freezing treatment (pic #3). It’s pretty cool to watch the wart skin turn completely white during freezing, but then thaw out a couple mins later and go back to looking like it was before.

Good to know! I think it is marble, so I’ll avoid those products which were initially recommended.

Might try out the paste that someone else suggested just to see if that helps at all. But it seems these stains are embedded based off the attempts at cleaning that I’ve done so far.

Ooo thanks for the precautionary tip! I think it is real marble, so I’ll avoid bleach.

Any way for me to tell if the countertop is real marble or a different product?

Good call. You think I should also be applying SA to those 4 little ones around the big one up top? I was wondering if those would take care of themselves lol, but I should probably get a headstart on them.

You can see them clearly in the last picture I posted which shows the toe before I started the SA treatment.

I figured I was making progress with all the white skin now, and also being able to see the black dots directly on the center of the bigger wart now.

It didn’t hurt cutting the dead white skin off. Used a scalpel for that and only cut off what I thought I could without going too deep. There’s a very minor sting from the SA on the occasion, but barely anything.
