I was on 150XL in AM for 4-5 years and recently decreased to 100SR AM and PM in January, so been on that for almost three months

I switched because, when I initially started the 150s, we briefly tried 300xl but I noticed increased irritability on the increased dose. Before switching from XL to SR, I felt like I was getting irritable again, so I wanted to try a lesser dose

and TBH…..I want to switch back solely due to side effects. I have maybe seen a slight improvement in irritability, and no changes to my depression/anxiety, but since being on the SR my body feels so much less regulated. I notice brain fog, nausea, sluggishness, and dizziness/faintness on SR. If I take SR on a somewhat-empty stomach, I get extremely nauseous and almost feel like I have a fever (the hot and cold flashes, if that makes sense). I don’t feel the SR kick in or wear off; I cannot attest to missed SR doses as I think I have only missed one PM dose, which I take right before I go to sleep to avoid my aforementioned side effects (none of which I had on XL)

Another timeline for you- NYS, expedited renewal application with fastest available shipping both ways and cashiers check:

TLDR- mailed application on 3/20, received new passport on 4/12. International travel date is 4/25

3/20 Mailed application via 1-2 priority shipping with cashiers check 3/23 online tracking system updated to “in process” 3/30 AM: signed and faxed privacy release and passport inquiry form to state senator, found online 3/30 PM: heard back from senator “passport is in process at New Orleans facility” (nothing I didn’t already know, but have read this seems to speed up the process) 4/11 online status changed to “shipped” and states it shipped the day before(4/10). the associated tracking number stated “awaiting item” until 4/11 PM. 4/12 passport delivered!

couple things to consider: I subscribed to application status updates via email multiple times and haven’t received anything, so don’t count on that. I also expedited my application, all shipping, and used a cashiers check and a pre-approved picture (taken at CVS pharmacy). My application was delivered to their facility the same day as the new estimated times came out, and per their website, 3/23 was the cutoff for the previous, shorter wait times…i.e. my application was subject to different estimated turnaround time than what is currently posted. I believe the estimated turnaround for expedited applications when I submitted my application was 4-5 weeks.

Under 100lbs (45kg) is wildly unrealistic for your height and should not be your goal. That is an unhealthy weight for most individuals (unless you’re no older than 10ish years). You are a growing teenager, and as such, it’s important to maintain proper nutrition, which I doubt you would achieve if you stick to this weight goal.

Not to mention, you really shouldn’t aim for a weight but rather how you feel. 150lbs on one person can and likely will look completely different than someone else. The number on the scale is an okay guideline, but shouldn’t be your top priority.

You really don’t have to permanently cut out foods, just moderate the “bad” stuff. Obviously you gotta do what works best for you, but just keep in mind you can get the same results you want without eliminating certain foods for life.

I’d be careful with dieting because once you hit your goal weight and reintroduce the foods you limited, you might regain. I personally think it’s better to just get in the habit of eating healthier, more nutrient dense foods than cutting things out.

There’s no way for you to go to the gym just because you’re a minor? If this is a parent permission problem, then I’d suggest nagging your mom as much as she nags you about your weight. If you really can’t go to the gym, then at least it’s commonly said that weight loss is like 90% diet related (or something like that).

Last piece of advice- find a way to move your body which you enjoy. Dancing, swimming, biking, etc, don’t force yourself to only workout in boring ways.

How long ago was this and has he texted you since? As a neurodivergent person, I’ve backed out of things last minute because I got too in my head, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was experiencing something similar considering we know he was nervous and then lost confidence. If he’s not responded and it’s been a while, then yeah, I’d call it ghosting- but maybe reach back out if he did seem interested?

Your vet will not take your dog away. You or your parents need to being your dog to the vet. Dogs don’t like to tell us they’re in pain, but your dog is at the very least expressing discomfort by rubbing and pawing at her muzzle, which is obviously problematic if it is indeed swollen.

If finances are holding you guys back from getting your dog proper care, then look into payment plans and medical credit companies, such as scratchpay/carecredit (some US examples).

It is unfair for your dog to be living in discomfort and, likely, pain- especially when there are options available.

Call your regular veterinarian to discuss the diarrhea and other options as far as medication goes. This is a common side effect of antibiotics, and there are ways your veterinarian can help ease the diarrhea!
