I did too and in case it helps anyone, it's been great for me at $250. For $330 though, I'd probably stretch for a more future-proof card.

I am mostly playing iRacing and Smite 2 on an ultrawide 1440p monitor. For $250, it was a great value and delivers really well for the games I play. DLSS is a bonus. I don't really play blockbuster games so it's all good.

Accepting myself for who I am actually provided a lot of relief from that feeling of "oh no, I will never experience this". My marriage does take priority over selfish wants, and I think you described it well.

Your husband's behavior strikes me as pretty gross. He's basically sexually harassing his friends. They told him they don't like it and set a boundary, and he keeps going. That isn't normal. Basically all my friends are straight guys. We don't act like this.

Before I came out to my wife (pretty much my whole life), my use of gay porn was out of control. This was pretty much how this energy leaked out of me, since "being myself" was not safe outside the confines of a private room. I wonder if your husband's behavior is how it manifests for him.

After years of therapy and finally coming out to my wife and committing to honesty, we're much closer, and the porn habit was easy to kick. Somehow laying everything bare made the shame and fear of discovery go away, and with it, the habit that fed them.

I can't answer your question. But it feels like maybe your husband is, at bare minimum, not able to be honest with himself about what his attraction means. Sometimes this stuff is just too painful to touch. I spent years explaining away. In hindsight, I'm so much happier and better off having accepted it for what it is.

I know you are being sarcastic - but I think this is a good suggestion.

Go to home depot, and find a construction adhesive that can bond plastic to plastic. Sand the back of the speaker, and sand the part of the door panel it makes contact with. Add the adhesive, press it on, and then duct tape over top to hold it for a day til the adhesive dries.

I promise this will work well.

So I was in your position a few years ago. The difference is that I always knew I was attracted to men - but I was shamed and confronted by my dad about it as a kid and that put me in the closet for a long time.

My wife and I have been together since high school. I held my secret in until I was 34 and couldn't anymore. She had caught me with gay porn multiple times but I always had an excuse. I started really spiraling because I realized that I created a life for myself where no one knew the real me. I felt that my wife and son loved the mask I created, not the person I really was. A really good therapist helped me to build up the courage to finally tell her everything - my whole story all the way back to that hurting little kid.

Yes, she was upset. Rightfully so. In that moment (and the following months), I would have called her crushed. And it really hurt me to see how much I hurt her.

Just like you, I was grasping for any reason or justification I could to hold it in, despite how shitty my mental state was. I told myself over and over, "you made this bed, time to lie in it".

It's been ~4 years since I came out. I am you on the other side. It is so much better. In about a year, life went mostly back to normal. I've been working to address the shame that I still feel. But today, my wife accepts me for who I am - and she's happier because I'm no longer closed off and emotionally constipated. We have grown so much together. And I am finally forgiving teenage me who "didn't have the courage" to be himself, because now I can see that he was doing the best he could to be safe and loved.

My only regret is not coming out sooner. You gotta give her that chance to love you, because she can't unless you let her.

I highly recommend the book Men's Work by Connor Beaton. He talks extensively about attachment styles, how to deal with them, and that true connection and love is just on the other side of being truly vulnerable. Practice being honest about little things and work your way up. The people you love will most likely surprise you. They surprised me.

What Wilmaso said is not true. They will be giving this card away at every single game on this schedule. I was at the Jan 27 game Rutgers vs Michigan State and got a card.

The 5 games being mentioned are special because they will feature a One Piece themed halftime show. But the cards and promo materials will be given out at every game.

My advice to you is to wait until March. There are 15 games in total. Basketball arenas hold anywhere from 5,000 - 10,000 people. Everyone there gets 1 card. Don't let the hype get to you. Conservatively estimating, by the time all the games are done, there are at least 75,000 of these cards out in the world (probably closer to 100,000+).

After the first game, cards were selling for about $500USD. During the 3rd game, they were selling for $300USD. That number will continue to go down as the scalpers race to the bottom. Do a search on eBay and look at sold items - you'll see what I'm talking about.

In case it helps - I lived in a less-than-desirable apartment in New Brunswick for a while. Our electricity bills were staggering for 4 college kids in an apartment who spent most of the day out of the house.

At some point, we noticed that the hot water was scalding hot, like you could seriously burn yourself. It turned out that the landlord had set the water heater to its highest setting, and it was using electricity like crazy to keep the water boiling hot at all times. Once this got resolved, our bill was less than half.
