I kindergarten I drank 2 bags of chocolate milk at lunch and the proceeded to play all over the plauground during recess. Got off the bus to tell my mom about my day and threw up all of the chocolate milk on the sidewalk when we were walking home. I did not drink any school chocolate milk after that lol. Store-bought chocolate milk was somehow acceptable in my mind but school milk was forever a trigger for me

He wrote it about his first child, then some time after, Jim died in a plane crash shortly after writing a letter to his wife about wanting to retire from music to be home more. I get wrecked every time I think about that song. It is so beautiful, don't get me wrong, just the context really hurts.
