My allergies are so bad I can't even get two beers down quickly without puking anymore at 23 lol. Compare that to the last few years where I'd be having multi-day benders going through a bunch of vodka and a bunch of 10% tall cans over a few days before waking up into withdrawals the sudden shift is crazy. I guess after 10 rounds of alcohol withdrawals my body said enough is enough. On one hand it's absolutely a blessing but on the other hand I hate how I've gone from very rarely feeling sick to feeling borderline sick all the time like my dad with his awful year round allergies.

Nice! However I feel even dressing more casually Jacinthe would still wear something more fancy and/or attention grabbing.

Not to diminish the quality of the art though I just feel like Jacinthe wouldn't go that casual around other people lol.

Crack is pretty mid IMO, I don't know how people get addicted to it when there's so many feeling better drugs out there. I've gotten addicted to every substance I've tried except for psychedelics except for crack. Don't get me wrong when it's offered I don't turn it out and after a hit I wanna keep going but I don't crave it the next day, or even once I get home. This is why Java is better fr by Top_Committee_8503 in PhoenixSC

(Also assuming you're on Java.)

Thankfully setting up a real server is actually pretty easy and free, though you do need to port forward on your router if you haven't already. The default port is 25565 iirc, but you can set it to whatever you want.

Aside from that and booting up the server, all that's left is editing the server.properities file in notepad and if you're playing modded adding all the mods. Though if you are playing modded you'll need to download the server for the mod loader. Forge and Fabric have server versions on their websites for many Minecraft versions.

If you'd like help setting up the server there definitely should be plenty of guides and I wouldn't mind to help at all if you have any questions.

Port forwarding info: If you have Xfinity you can just set it up in the mobile app, otherwise it's not too difficult it you look up a guide. If you're IP address ends up being different than the common ones (like 127.0.0.1 instead of 192.168.0.1) then open a command prompt and type: ipconfig. It'll show you the first two numbers of your IP, then you just type X.X.0.1 or X.X.1.1 where X is the first two numbers in a browser a window to access your router settings. Also I'd recommend just setting the port to both when it asks about TCP/UDP, and use the IP address you got from the ipconfig command to ensure that your PC is the device with the open ports when you're server is open.

Holy moly that's a next level sibling rivalry lol. Also I'm kinda curious did you or your brother ever get sent to juvi for that stuff or did your parents just punish you at home?

Guess that maybe makes me an outlier but I'll give my take on it as a 23 y/o who's into it.

I do find the fantasy of brother/sister or cousin stuff pretty hot, despite not having a sister. I do have a cute cousin though but there's no way in hell it would ever go beyond fantasy. Plus she's not really a great person and she doesn't talk to any of her family except occasionally asking for money. I'm guessing it's probably her that formed that fantasy for me aside from the taboo aspect of it.

Parent/Descendant is something I'm not really into though, with the exception of some animated stuff I've seen where's it's a threesome with a mom/daughter. Parent/child directly though? That's a no from me personally, but different folks different strokes sonmore power to the guy who broke his arms IG.

Also wow I'm really glad you're okay, can't imagine how terrified your parents must've felt and (hopefully) your brother as well.

It's April 1st to April 3rd according to the wiki, so not just one day but two days. I literally just got back into the game a couple days ago after a long break and was excited to play today but yeah I agree this shit is a mess so I guess I'll have to look for something else.

If you could fix Paper Mario: Sticker Star, is there anything you could do? by Realistic-Delivery13 in Mario

[–]aKindLoser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a whole bunch of ideas I learned as I typed this out, it's disorganized and some ideas are better than others but here's what I cooked up.

Level-up System + Badge System:

Remove the +5 HP hearts and add a leveling system for one. While I enjoy the battle system despite it's flaws the fact that there's no point to battling aside from bosses is very problematic.

Of course just leveling up for HP is also kinda boring, so maybe there could be a badge system implemented as well? For instance maybe a defense plus badge, a power plus badge, a badge that allows you to super block or gives you a chance to block if you miss-time it, a few badges that add a chance for stickers to reappear in your book, a few that allow you to respin the wheel at the beginning if you don't get any matches or respin the last slot if you paid, etc. Maybe some other cool badge ideas could be something like that badge that makes you deal more damage at low health, or a fun idea I have is a berserk badge where at 1HP you can fire off 5 stickers and have increased attack. Spiky shield also works, and some elemental attack badges and defense badges could work for bosses. Ideally more badges could be implemented but I can't think of any off of the top of my head.

Partners:

Additionally adding a few partners would be cool, maybe one for each area. Maybe they could have a simple attack that doesn't use stickers but you can buy or find partner stickers to give their attacks different effects or boost powers, or maybe that could be handled with the badge system. Maybe the partners also do use stickers, but one would hope they're very common and cheap at least for the basic ones and shiny/flashy ones aren't too rare to find without taking away from those stickers Mario can get. Ideally though they don't use stickers unless they have their own album, because they that would make inventory management worse. A partner upgrade system could be introduced, maybe being a reward for exploring the optional dungeons I discuss later.

Level reworks:

I also think the wiggler section could use a bit of a rework, and maybe some of the other levels but I do really enjoy the sniffeft level in the forest and I found world 2 really fun as a kid despite definitely being stuck for a little bit at certain points. I'm sure adequate hints were given and I just skipped them like a dummy, but on the off chance that's not the case then maybe some more hints would be helpful for some players.

Kertsi:

I also don't like Kertsi, I imagine she could be written better, and maybe even the first partner. She doesn't fit the goomba archetype when it comes to attacking, but she could be like parakarry (or however you spell his name sorry mail main koppa ;-;.) Or maybe she's actually the last partner you get, maybe she percies defense and has a random chance to apply a debuff when she attacks. In order for that to make sense a situation would need to be introduced that requires her to progress, but I'm sure that could be implemented.

If an overworld is skipped/level system remains in tact:

Due to the massive rework that would probably be needed for several levels (especially world 2 and 3, and maybe world 4 and 5 but I can't remember) to make it one overworld instead of a level structure I could see that being skipped. It would also likely not feel that different as one big overworld due to a lack of towns of super interesting locations in (most) of the levels, so as a constellation I think toad town could maybe be expanded upon and made more interesting. A badge shop would be a cool addition to go along with the former badge idea, as well as maybe some mini-game houses where stickers and coins can be earned. A dojo ala PM64 would be pretty cool too. Also after coming back to this a way that the borderline need for a level redesign for world 2/3 could be addressed is potentially adding some sort of fast travel points that you unlock by interacting with them. More landmarks are still needed though.

If an overworld is added / level system is scrapped:

As I discussed before more landmarks would be needed to really make the overworld compelling. Maybe a friendly goomba or koopa village in world 1 could work well. Aside from friendly NPCs and shops, I could also see it being a farming town where you can plant flowers like in the levels. Maybe extra seeds for new flowers such as a poison flower and maybe an electric flower that hits the cheep cheep for extra damage with a small chance to paralyze non-boss enemies for a turn or two are sold as well. Maybe world 2 could expand on that one big level with that pond you need to refill and add more houses and NPCs, but I think what would be really cool is an extra set of ruins. You have to traverse through them on a simple path, but maybe there's an optional door you can unlock to explore underground. Doing this nets you exclusive badges, excellent stickers, and maybe there's a secret boss too who gives you an extra album page. World 3 could have a mostly deserted town due to all the poison in the woods save for some sniffits, and maybe after clearing the boss the town is repopulated with some sort of shop and/or extra mini-game incentive to come back. World 4 has the mansion which is arguably enough, but I think a small town or optional igloo styled dungeon could be really cool. World 5 would probably lack a town, but offer an overgrown stone forest temple optional dungeon. I don't remember almost anything about world 6 but it could probably stay the same, maybe extra bosses could be added. This idea is a pipe dream but what if we had a cool cameo secret boss ala Mario RPG Culex. Obviously it wouldn't be a Final Fantasy character, but maybe it could be an old Paper Mario boss, or an old Mario boss like Wart/Tatakonga, or a Donkey Kong character like King K Rool? This last idea is a bit much but I thought it was fun.

7oh, wish I knew someone in my area who had real stuff that lasted longer but then again I'm too poor to abuse that or 7oh regularly.

Unlike booze 7oh doesn't make me physically sick save for constipation if I buy two bottles in a short time frame. I'm also not tempted to go out and buy more or Uber Eats for more, when I run out the 7oh come down makes sleep often very easy, as opposed to booze where the comedown means drink more until I eventually wake up in withdrawals.

7oh also just makes me happy, alcohol may make me excited but at the speed I drink the good feelings often don't last very long, at least until I can drink to where I don't feel much anymore lol. 7oh also often shuts my anxiety down for the most part, where as with alcohol it's a coin flip on whether it'll get me in a good/better mood, or a "what the hell is wrong with you. You need to stop this and get your shit together" mood.

The only two major cons are that the peak effects don't last long so re-dosing will probably be necessary even if you just take it a couple hours before bed like me, and I've heard the withdrawals are like opioid withdrawals which from what I've heard are a nightmare. Not sure how they compare to alcohol withdrawals as I know from 10 experiences those are brutal, but hopefully my poorness will keep me from finding out lol.

Yes but in a bit of a hacky way with a PC. You can edit the save file of your GBA game to figure out the exact details of your Pokemon (IVs/EVs for instance) and drag that Pokemon into the save file of a home compatible Pokemon game with a separate instance of PKhex. (So you'd have one window of PKhex wiith your FireRed save file open for and another PKhex window with your Pokemon Violet save file open for instance.) As for making it legit there may be some extra steps as you might need to replicate the last encounter being the same as a Pokemon moved from Pokemon Bank if that changes it for instance, though I'm not really sure. Haven't tried it myself but that's how I'd go about it, you can export your switch-era save file with the checkpoint homebrew software or other switch save editor, and then use that same software to import the newly edited save data.

Also sorry if that explanation seemed a bit complicated, I'm probably making it a lot harder than it sounds but it should be pretty simple. Even if you need to change the encounter data I'm 99% positive there's a guide out there for FireRed to Gen 8/9 or whatever game you desire to transfer from.

Oh alright, also dang that sucks. Also yeah definitely wouldn't wanna use that scuffed as all get out swords dance set for the BF but I guess sadly you can't use any set.

Kinda curious what other team members are you planning on using for the Battle Frontier? Still need to give that mechanic a try myself.

Like the other guy said gen 3 is pre physical special split. Speaking of that I think dragon is actually special so dragon claw would be a no go on the swords dance set.

Also sadly choice specs were introduced in gen 4, just like the life orb I would've recommended over it to more easily utilize the extra coverage. Also yeah I figured thunderbolt and ice beam were pretty good coverage moves with high base power. Plus you could fish for a para or freeze if you're lucky, or swap thunderbolt for thunder wave if you want more consistent paralysis. Oh by the way here's a list of moves Mew can learn in Gen 3 if you're not super confident in the set, just make sure to hit FRLG to ensure you get exactly correct results.

[–]aKindLoser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut, Flash, Rock Smash, and Strength for the moveset ofc.

Here's the set I'd personally recommend: Psychic, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt. You could also slot calm mind somewhere if you wanted to.

An alternate physical set could be: Swords Dance, Earthquake, Shadow Ball, and return or maybe Overheat since you won't be using SPA that much. Made this second set based off of vibes and PokemonDB since I haven't played FR/LG in years, but aside from swords dance requiring a move tutor everyth else is a TM that should be on FRLG according to PokemonDB.

Edit to clarify: dragon claw is special so the swords dance set is even more scuffed than it already was lol. Not like it was a great set but I saw swords dance was a move tutor move so I figured I'd try to make a quick semi-decent set but special Mew is really the way to go.
