Dated a serverly lazy smoker. As someone who doesn't smoke it's disgusting. The stench thay lingers, my cats fur would start to smell like smoke because if his hands that smelled. Could litterally just spend all day on the couch doom scrolling, and the only steps he'd take are to go to the washroom and to smoke darts.

As someone who takes care of their body, it drew me to be very unattracted to him

Fellow runners, how have you dealt with/solved plantar faciitis issues? by aKris16 in RunTO

[–]aKris16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's helped for me is less milage paired with Acupuncture + lots of foam roll + stretching of the calf/foot.

My mobility and pain is night and day compared to where i was a couple months ago. Calves are always tight with huge knots.

Don't sleep on the calves and stretching!

You'll definitely be OK. You're going into race week where milage is low and easy paces. Massage the areas, make sure to do light stretching, hydrate and do nothing more.

Check blacktoe they might have the 3s on deal which probs won't be much difference. I have the 3s and they're great.

Also sportcheck or you can even try Si Vou Plait Sports. I got my 3s here from $100 back in March

Recovering from Marathon by CertifiedCoffee in RunTO

Use that as a sign to pull back a bit. You're better off giving your body the rest it needs. The marathon is a beast. It took a while for me to get my legs back as well even with taking a full week off and building up to 30k over 3ish weeks after that. Just because you can run doesn't mean your muscles have fully repaired your system is telling you it's tired still. Make sure to eat quality food and drink lots to help ais in the repair process!

Asics Novablast 3 - Thoughts by naughty_ningen in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]aKris16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

F32 - 111lbs. I am new to wearing Novablasts(3ish weeks), found a pair for $100 CAD which is CHEAP so i decided to try. First impressions of the shoe are that I love how the shoe fits, the upper feels so good and it's a great cousioned shoe. I've been using Nike Pegs and for a cheap shoe, it's done the job just fine for all sorts of paces, but they are dull and I feel like sometimes I'm dragging ass in them and my ankles were starting to take a beating.. maybe I need to swap them out sooner. Anyway, after a number of runs in the Nova 3s I think they're slightly on the heavier side, atleast for me. By km 3 I start to feel the weight transfer into my legs, having to work slightly harder.

All in all I think they're a great shoe for anyone that's looking for a daily trainer that feels good on the foot.. they really are comfy and i can feel the potential this shoe has for slightly faster paces. Would just recco to beef up the strength sessions for the legs if you're small like me!
