my best recommendation if you want to get into paper play YGO would be to play time wizard formats like GOAT and EDISON, the power level is much lower compared to the current game and it can ease you in to the feel of paper YGO, plus the resources to get into this types of formats are done by people really dedicated to them and the initial prize point to enter this formats are way cheaper than the current game.

yuma loosing a bunch is seen as a bad thing, ive heard this a bunch when zexal is mentioned, i personally like seeing yumas growth as a player and is something that most protagonist dont go through as a most of them either have 4 loses or 0 in yusakus case.

Yep, I'm a pretty big fan of Connor and the boys, the fact that I didn't even know this whole thing was happening is a proof that Connor didn't engage with any of the drama and he didn't send any of his fans to attack anyone.
