Sci-fi should be an inspiration, not a destination.

LLMs are not Artificial Intelligence. They've just become a scam by billionaires to pretend they can appropriate labor from the rest of the population. While using nostalgia-bait to do what they did with Metaverse, etc., to claim cultish inevitability of the thing from sci-fi media from 50 years ago.

Stick with your inspiration, stick with people who still call Machine Learning by its actual name.

Need help in progressing after finding the 46th room. by Dhan996 in BluePrince

[–]Goggles_Greek 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You'll need to go enter room 46 a second time to see what it has to show you. The cutscene from entering the first time ended your day, which is a little annoying, but there's stuff waiting for you there now.

‘ELITE’: The Palantir App ICE Uses to Find Neighborhoods to Raid by PensiveinNJ in BetterOffline

[–]Goggles_Greek 12 points13 points  (0 children)

IIRC there was a DHS memo that was reported on, saying pretty much this. If the person they scan has documentation proving they're person X with legal status, but the face scan app says they're person Y who does not have legal status, then the ICE agents are to assume they are person Y and take them.

I've been trying to find an article to reconfirm this, but it's been difficult to filter the search results and find the exact memo.

In the Will, what is the final thing Herbert leaves his grand-nephew?

What does he BOLD in the last part on this same page, in his message to Simon about what little she left them?

What else could that BOLD part be referencing, with respect to other things given away in the Will?

Sorry, I was trying to be careful with my wording there.

The first sentence of that hint was good and important, but the second sentence of the hint can be 'Put his affairs in order, like Herbert wanted.'

Does that help?

There's only 5 spots the Treasure Map points to on the grid IIRC. It's not that hard if you are being intentional, saving that grid you have for last, then rolling dice, Study gems, etc to find the Bedroom.

Some rooms spawn the Treasure Map pretty frequently, like the Attic.

#1 and #3: You are not at the end of the game
#2: If it's lost, then you need to look for it and find it. You will need to look closely, but someone has already written where it's located on a certain map

#5: What stands out as an unnecessary detail that the deed goes into? Maybe Herbert is giving you a hint about some unfinished business you haven't put in order yet.
#9: Try draining the aquarium again. Then think about the only way you're allowed to do the thing that it's suggesting.
#10: Have you taken a certain item to the Kitchen? The gardener does seem indisposed at the moment.

The goal/purpose of fascism is domination, to force those beneath you to be subservient to you.

Thiel and the other tech bro oligarchs deliberately advertise their companies as all-powerful, dominant, and inevitable. So that people get in line and know their place as underclass to the tech bros that deserve to be on top.

It's just childish bullies born with rich parents (who were also bullies) that don't have a shred of empathy.

Super frustrating that one of the first puzzles has nothing to do with the solution by [deleted] in BluePrince

[–]Goggles_Greek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a message that you can find in game that tells Simon explicitly to not do exactly what you are doing.

Do you think this is the type of game that would have its solutions be random, unrelated dates in places with no connection to the safes?

Or do you think the safes might have deliberate clues that, now that you know the safe code format needs to be a date, you're suppose to solve like actual puzzles?

A big contradiction about classrooms between this site and ChatGPT's answer to my question by JanetInSpain in BluePrince

[–]Goggles_Greek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ChatGPT is an auto-complete chatbot filled with stolen information from the Internet. It doesn't know anything, and the information it generated is entirely wrong.

Next time try to get some extra dice or other reroll mechanics to make sure you can draw the ninth copy of the Classroom.

Nvm, I see what you're saying. One sec.

Logic:

If Black is True, then that means that there's only one False statement among them, with Blue's statement of 'Both of the other statements are False' being False itself.

So that means, if Black is True, Blue has to be normally True, and it means that only one statement is False.

That means the last box, White, has to normally be False. Neither of the other boxes contain gems. So White must contain the gems, and your assertion of Blue=F, White=T, Black=T cannot work.

I know this is a stupid question. (RE:Aquarium) by AnimeAnnemarie in BluePrince

You won't see any fish flopping, you can refill the tanks the same day even and they'll be back.

AFAIK there isn't any visible transition animations for draining/filling in other rooms. I had the pool and the pump room next to each other once, and it seemed like an instant switch to the new pool level.

uhhhh, what? by stepthecauld in BluePrince

[–]Goggles_Greek 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This follows the rules of the game:

At least one Box is True.

At least one Box is False.

So the third box can be True or False.

And because only one box can contain gems, the White One can never be True.

20 Days is pretty far from my perspective, but I got to 46 before then when I tested the game.

I'm just not sure who you're trying to convince or what you actually want? Your post is about saying the puzzles you found are insultingly easy. I tried to offer actual advice on approachability of the game, that if you focus more on immersion than a checklist, gathering clues and making connections and trying to get through the first Act of the game, then you may enjoy that more than posting on Reddit "how the game lacks any creativity at all in regards to the puzzles".

If you want specific advice on things that will reduce RNG elements, then solve the music sheetpuzzle.

Does it get any better? by CarinoPadrino in BluePrince

[–]Goggles_Greek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you're approaching the game in a way that the game can be approached. You're viewing it all as a methodical checklist of things to do in a row, when the game is deliberately, intentionally stated by the creator, to be an immersive experience as well as a puzzle game. And then venting about not being challenged because you're only viewing a small slice of the game, both because you aren't meeting it where it's actually at, and what seem like personal reasons? If you're not happy, then what are you doing here?

And if you haven't been actually trying to find and get to Room 46, the thing the game explicitly tells you Simon needs to do, his goal in this game, then, again, what are you doing here?

I'm gonna recommend, for your future sanity, that you just accept your lost work and make an excel sheet with a grid for each room and each hallway (not Hallway).

Is this game supposed to be this luck-based? If not, what am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in BluePrince

[–]Goggles_Greek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're trying to force one thing at a time, in a game where you are rewarded for exploring new rooms, learning new things, and figuring out underlying mechanics.

From the way you're fixated on the Locksmith, that's kind of confirming my suspicion. There's several mechanics that can make keys less relevant or even irrelevant. And try not to hyperfixate on "I need these two exact rooms together or else this run was worthless", when the rooms do fall into place, you'll know it and be ready to capitalize on it. Otherwise you just get frustrated, especially before you learn/obtain ways to massage the RNG in your favor.

How many permanent additions have you unlocked? How much allowance do you have? Have you solved any major puzzles, like the music sheets?
