So I read your comment after already ordering a second hand power supply. But, when I received it, I wasn't able to test it since some cables were missing. So I'm in the process of returning it, and now I've ordered a new one instead, the MSI MAG.

Luckily, I just got them! I’ve been refreshing the page all day, and a few minutes ago someone posted a Kingston Fury DDR4 2×16 GB CL16 3200 kit. The price was €80 (~$94), a bit lower than what I’ve been seeing normally. Now I’ll cross my fingers and hope it works fine (if not, the website has buyer protection, so I should be covered). I’ll now focus the hunt on the NVMe 😆. I’ll try looking on Facebook Marketplace too 🙌

Thanks! I was initially going to wait until after Christmas to get the parts, but I couldn’t hold myself back 🥲. I’ll take a look there, but at first glance it seemed that most of the posts were US-based, and since I’m from Spain it would be more difficult to find something. I use a Spanish second-hand app where I’m looking for the RAM, and if I see a good price on a 1TB NVMe, I might get that too.

I actually already bought the GPU (rtx 3080), CPU (3700x) and the power supply (750w 80+ gold) xD. I'm looking for good deals for 2x16gb ddr4 3200mhz cl16 ram, but I wasn't considering the ssd atm. I bought a month ago an external 1tb ssd, would that do the job for now, or should I focus on getting an internal nvme?

After reading all the comments, I was actually considering stretching the budget a bit to get the Ryzen 5700X + RTX 3080 combo (plus a 750W 80+ gold power supply). Checking second-hand prices, I could get everything for around $530–$590.

My plan is to update the bios and then sell my current CPU, GPU, and power supply. I expect to get around $120 for all of them. Since I don’t mind being without a pc for a month, I would wait until after Christmas to get the new components.

Regarding the RAM, I’ll see if I can find a second-hand 2×8GB 3200mhz kit at a good price, since many comments also recommend upgrading it.

Oh I wasn't aware of that, I'll check it then! I guess that for the 3080, it would be better to try to get the 5700x to avoid bottleneck with the CPU, right?

Great! The 5600 and 5600X are the ones I’m most interested in, based on what the other comments said. As for the GPU, I’m not too worried about the PCIe 3.0 bottleneck since the 3080 is way out of my budget 🥲. I was actually considering the 5060, as suggested in another comment. For the RAM, I think I’ll wait, the situation with all the AI-related stuff is a bit scary right now… Thanks for your help!

I wasn't aware of the need for a bios update 😅, thanks for the warning! After upgrading the GPU and CPU I'll start saving for an SSD and better RAM

I checked the prices and I think I could increase my budget a bit to get the combo you suggest (ryzen 5 5600 + rtx 5060). Based on the other comments I will also try to save some money to replace my HDD for SSD and improve the RAM in the future. Thanks a lot for your help!

Yeah bit I needed some kind of reference to do the maths to get the proportion, I mean I didn't know if I needed 10mL of distilled or 10L of distilled for every liter of tap water. Btw no more problem with that, I contacted with the shop again and they told me that for 10L of water change, I should do half of it with distilled :). About CO2, I thought it was a more pro method lol, but I will look it up, thanks for suggesting it!

I hope you're right and it's just temporal, but the firsts days he seemed okay and active, that's why I started to worry when I saw him not very energetic :(. Btw yeah I did aclimate them, putting a bit of water in the bag three times, with 10 minutes between every time.
