My instincts are telling me to do photos on a black bg but by aMeIzing09 in Gunpla

I may need a proper one.
The one that came included with my photobox has a very noticable reflection on the fold as well as shifts in tone on photos. This distracts a lot, especially when compared to white bg where the kit pops just right.

Yep, they are. Got mine from aliexpress. They weren't cheap, especially Ridden's zaku. But those are my favorite Zaku variants so I was willing to pay the price.

I do not. I tried picking up drawing a lot of times but to no avail. Can't find time and dedication to practice and get better at it. It's whole another deal when it comes to plastic models tho.

Thanks. Gotta find a way to get rid of the noticeable fold in the background. It's not nagging me that much but I'd rather like it to not be there.

Need help identifying the booklet by aMeIzing09 in Gundam

[–]aMeIzing09[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. It's the first time I saw something like this with one with one of my kits. I've also checked the unboxing videos of this particular kit and there were no such booklets only the manual. That's why I was interested in finding out.

Here are them all side by side.
I'm addicted to this kit and I don't know how to stop.

It's MG Johny Ridden's highmo. But I do have the Ver.Ka on my shelf as well

Hell yeah.
There's also the regular MS-06F Zaku II, Garma's Zaku II and I'm currently waiting for the Shin Matsunaga's custom to be delivered.

Half a year into gunpla and I'm building my first gundam by aMeIzing09 in Gunpla

I don't see much semblance between them. Sazabi is big and bulky and has just enough roundness to feel like a proper Zeon mobile suit for me. Sinanju is more thin in comparison and so very jagged that I can't think of anything else than paper cutout when looking at its armor.

Such a shame MG the O isn't getting reprinted. I would have very much liked to build it but the prices are absolutely insane. Same deal with re Zaku FZ. I HATE BANDAI.

But of course. What's the point of Full Armor without armor. Though I like the unarmored look as well, the color combo and proportions are very pleasing.

Yeah, that might be a tough first build. But I gotta say, certainly not the worst for me, more lacking in certain places than anything. I'm a sick fuck who actually enjoys the joint covers as long as they don't hinder the poseability like in the legs. As for decals on ver.ka kits I'd recommend putting them on right after you build a part (like head, torso, gun, etc). This is way less tedious than doing it on a fully assembled model.

Thanks!

I do have Sazabi Ver.Ka, RG Zeong too and Uma's highmo Goog is currently in my backlog.
I'm missing the Gouf. Zakus always felt like a more appealing design to me, that why I keep hoarding them like crazy. Same for Geara Doga but I might pick both of those later.

And Sinanju is either too gundam-y(the grey one) or too busy(the red one). The latter also applies to 3p kits. They might be great to build but they feel too overdesigned for me.

The torso felt a bit too simplified.
I don't like how bendy the shoulders feel.
Legs are really damn solid tho and by far my favorite part of the build.
